Kennel Calypso Kennel Calypso and our Miniature Bullterrier Puppies (map is incorrect) We are breeders of fun loving Miniature Bullterriers located in Oregon.

Kennel Calypso’s motivation for breeding is to put tangible and concrete love into the world. While we enjoy showing the dogs, the real reason for breeding is dealing with the sweetness of puppies and the joy they bring to the lives of the people and into what is an increasingly harsh world. We have been at it for over ten years and many of our bullies have been placed as therapy dogs. Meeting won

derful people and other bully enthusiasts thru our dogs has been a blessing. Although it’s lovely to win in the ring, Kennel Calypso breeds for health, temperament and only then looks. Calypso’s name because it is a rare orchid species found only in the Oregon rain forests, Calypso is a Nymph associated with the sea and it is the name of Jacques Cousteau's oceanographic research ship. Additionally, Calypso is style of music that has been used to push the boundaries of free speech. Located in Oregon, near both a rainforest and the ocean the name was fitting, and as all bully breeders know the health issues in Bullies requires research! We use the concept of a buccaneer because our mission is to fight to produce healthy bullterriers with wonderful, flashy, playful, personalities. Today was a wicked day. We had to put Annie to sleep. She was born on Valentine’s Day 9 years ago and was a bundle of love. She only added richness to my life. She was a supreme being and gave life to wonderful offspring that spread her thread of love out into the world. She lived with our friends who loved her as much as we did. She had a collapsed trachea that could not be corrected with surgery.

RIP Ch Calypso’s Dream Boat Annie I got only goodness from your existence and so much love I couldn’t handle it all myself so I shared her knowing this day would come as it does with all beloved dogs.

There are a lot of posers laying around here! Please note it’s a constant battle to keep the scammers off of all of our sites. They post links saying that they’ve got puppies for sale. We never sell puppies on the Internet and you’re foolish if you buy one that way. We’re constantly being told about people losing their deposits due to being conned.

Sally is like an Astronaut. Like a Sally Ride Astronaut, full of curiosity and energy in a flashy white suit. In the early morning she likes to sit by the fire soaking up the heat, building up steam, to launch herself outside and huckybutt with wild abandon through the yard. Sally is under two and has plenty of energy to prove it. She is a little over 30 pounds of beautiful, jet fueled propulsion. Sally is deaf but very smart. She knows numerous hand signals and just like many bullies, she picks and chooses which one she wants to observe. It’s obvious that Sally has been posing for the camera for a very long time. As a baby in fact when somebody once loved her enough to teach her how to pose. Family chose to move on without Sally. I

Sally is very sweet and will sit by your side on the sofa for hours steeped in pure contentment. She gets along pretty good with all the other dogs but she is jealous. She likes to play hard but if she offends the other dog she cannot hear when they are unhappy with her. She still needs supervision because she plays like a lit rocket. Sally has had passages of time in a boarding facility, so she seems to understand that there are times for lockup in a crate and time to play. She’s pretty good with not chewing her bedding as long as it is not a thin textile. She loves her Kong and other indestructible chew toys but we have to be careful saliva doesn’t build up causing her bedding to get wet, which causes irritation on her belly. We watch this quite closely and apply a non-prescription cream to her belly for protection.

She has been a very good guest but needs a forever home. Her ideal day consists of laying by the fire, running in the yard, time napping in her crate, and several hours on the sofa before bed and supper. She is not a barker unless she feels it’s necessary to go potty or to eat at dusk. He’s pretty much a consistent alarm clock when the sun starts to set to let you know it’s time to eat.

Sally is a hunter and has laser focus on critters outside the house. Sally got a little confused on one of her evening, outdoor missions and saw a target on her family cat outside the home. RIP cat, and Sally got the boot. Inside the home she’s actually quite docile but every once in a while, well it’s like somebody put a happy, little firecracker up her bully butt. If she sees squirrels running around the front yard we worry a bit about the safety of the glass between her and her prey so we close the blinds behind the sofa. She does like to dig for critters. Mirrors seem to be a bit perplexing to her. She also likes things that are up on counters, like food. Better yet is the garbage.

Sally recharges by sleeping in her crate all night quite contented. She tends to take two naps in her crate one mid morning and the other mid afternoon. She is very sensitive to when the sun comes up and goes down because it means she can have some of her food and a little bit of goat yogurt. Sally is on a strict diet due to skin issues and ear infections which are pretty much under control. She really can’t have any unusual treats at this time as we try to treat her immune system with care. She has been on a number of oral medication but she is off all prescriptions at this time. Currently Sally needs yogurt to restore the balance in her system. Goat yogurt helps with this, as does care with her food. For the time being Sally is on this diet which is not complicated, but necessary.

Sally is being placed by a rescue organization we partner with while we foster her. There is an application process and we can connect you with that source to learn more about Sally becoming a forever girl.

Please text or PM me if you would like us to forward you on to our contacts for placement. If you are looking for a forever bully, Sally will launch you over the moon with her love. Sally is in Portland Oregon at the moment.
