I'm known as the "DOG MOM" to family and friends. I'm a mature adult female who quite simply just loves dogs. I've been a dog owner my entire life and have had many different breeds over the years. Currently, I have a 5-year-old Lab mix named Bailey and a 3-year-old Shepard/St. They are both rescue dogs and the light of my life. I am available to do dog walking if that is all you require and/or do

You know, I don’t even know how long it’s been since I’ve posted anything on my Dog Mom page.

After my car accident in December, I realized I was trying to do too much and I couldn’t manage the volume of business I had. I didn’t get cleared to go back to work for 3 weeks. During that time I formulated a plan of action to reduce my workload that was fair and unbiased for all.
The key factor was “distance”. I had to eliminate my clients that lived further out. These were difficult calls to make because some were friends and some I had been doing for years. Each of these clients were gracious and understanding. A lot of tears were shed.

I now have a reasonable number of clients who all live within 5-6 miles of me, mostly in a DUNES property. As long as I stay healthy, I hope to care for these fur babies as long as I’m needed.
They bring me such joy!

Well, this says SusantheDogMom, so I’m going to try to post again.

I really have been lax on keeping clients and friends up to date on my Dog Mom site.

It’s slowly drifted into October so I’m going to post pics of all the dogs I watched during the month of September.

Bella and Harley are the two sweet dogs I walk every day! Yep, EVERY day! Bella is a 14 yr old Maltese and Harley is a 11 year old King Charles Spaniel. He has such beautiful, soulful eyes.

Sugar is a little female Shih Tzu that originally came as a
“package deal” with Cookie.
Sadly Cookie went across the Rainbow 🌈 Bridge last year.
I get to spend the night with Sugar and enjoy her nice ocean front home.

Henry is absolutely beautiful!
I should say handsome because he’s male. He is a Boynton Spaniel and also has soulful eyes. I get to sit for him occasionally and also I’m called on for a walk now and then.

And now I come to Holly who is female, about 5 years old and is a spitball. She has so much energy.
I used to sit for her at her house but lately have been bringing her home with me. She gets along fine with my 2 big dogs. She loves to cuddle so I get lots of love.❤️💕

And last but not least, I sit for 2 beautiful doodles. Sadie is the oldest, very quiet and calm. She is a golden doodle. Next is Lincoln.
A few years younger and is a Labradoodle . He’s a wild one! He’s eaten his way through several rugs. He will knock you over with affection.

As I’ve typed this story up, I just realized how lucky I am to be able to do something I love. Thank you, all my wonderful clients, for sharing your fur babies with me!

Facebook SUCKS !!

I’ve just spent 25 minutes trying to get to a place where I could post something! Is it my phone or is it Facebook? I haven’t been online on Facebook much lately, so there may have been many updates OR they’re just trying to get back at me for my lack of activity!!

Actually, I was trying to get on my DogMom page and they kept sending me back to my personal account.

So, as long as I’m here now, I’m going to post something. Most of you know I dote on my garden. This has been a tough year for me and the garden. I just haven’t been on top of things. Don’t get me wrong, the flowers 💐 🌸 🌺 💐 have been fantastic. I had my spring color and now getting fall colors. And I’m still trying to tame the beast. Enjoy

It’s been hard to find time to do posts on Facebook. I love to get comments from you and I like sharing my adventures and pics.
So, I’ll be more diligent.

On Friday (3/10) we stayed busy working in the yard. We repotted lots of plants, potted new plants, but mostly got a big bed tilled and ready to go for vegetable and herbs.

After a couple hours of labor we decided to drive to the North Shore and look for whales and visit some of the stores. Found a beautiful sweat shirt for ME.

On the way home we stopped at Home Depot for vegetable and herbs to plant. More work…..
Not too many pics today. Actually NO pics.

Yesterday (Sat 3/11) was a really hard day. We had the daunting task of pruning some large trees and shrubbery. BRING OUT THE
BIG GUNS !! This called for a tall ladder, saw, pruners, electric trimmer and so on. Shana did all the hard ladder work. She might have regretted telling me NOT to ever get on a ladder again! HaHa
I was the “ladder holder” and the “anything up to 6 ft.” pruner. Even that was exhausting. But, we got it done. And, I was done !

We did have something exciting for the afternoon. Shana and I were meeting Andre near the Waikiki Yacht Club. He was in Honolulu for 1 day to get a rental cleared out and to check on his boat. We went out for a long lunch at a nice restaurant. Forgot the name but food was good. Shana dropped us (meaning Andre and me) at the Airport. We were headed to his home in Maui. If you’re confused ?? Andre is family and I was going to spend a couple days with him and his wife, Smita. Shana had to work on Sunday and will join me here in Maui on Monday. YEAH

ALOHA everyone.
Yesterday afternoon we drove south to Kaneohe to go to the Ho’Omaluhia Botanical Garden. Shana swore to me that there would be flowers. This Garden had plants from many different tropical locations. We took a walking trail down to Lake
Moly Mo’o. On the return trip we took pics of plants that were blooming.

After that we went to the Kaneohe Marine Base to go to their beach and check out Pyramid Rock. We got stopped right before the runways, waiting for C-17’s to complete there touch and go maneuvers.

Hello to all my Dog Mom friends and hopefully some family and friends also. I haven’t been on my personal page in over a year and it appears they “dropped me” because it’s like I don’t exist!

I’m visiting Shana in HI right now. It was a l o n g 36 hours door to door travel experience on Tuesday that I never want to repeat. I got in around 3pm and was in bed by 7pm. I felt like a new person after 15 hours of sleep. Shana always gives me a beautiful lei on arrival and we get a photo. So far the only one I’ve taken. Yesterday (Wed) we ran errands in Honolulu then did yard work in her beautiful back yard.

And because this is My Dog Mom platform, I’ve added a couple pics Shana took of Rearden on their hike this morning.
