📖💙 NEW CHAPTER 💙📖
Some of you might recognize this sweet boy. He's had a few names - most recently, "Stable" while he was in a board-and-train program. Let us reintroduce you to this handsome pup, who is now known and loved as "Otis".

This guy had a pretty rough start in life and ended up in the shelter at the tender age of about 4 months old. We had someone approach us about fostering after meeting him at the shelter, and he joined the I Am Dog Rescue family. Unfortunately, it just wasn't the right environment to provide him what he needed at the time. He ended up heading to a board-and-train program where he could work on building confidence and learning "how to dog." 🐶
It's been a long time coming for this baby, but he graduated from his training program today and got to go home with one of our incredible foster families. They have worked diligently with Otis' trainers and will continue working with him with tools and guidance to help Otis on his way to his forever family and very own happily ever after. He's such a deserving pup, and we are grateful for his foster family's dedication to him. 🥰 For now, they will take their time getting Otis adjusted to a new environment and routine. He was comfortable enough this afternoon to showcase his adorable snoring skills while he napped, and we are already in love with Otis' newest chapter. 😍

We feel like she's either changed her mind, or she's melted into the bed and can't get out. 🫠

😎 BREE 😎
It's been almost 7 months since Bree became a proud member of the Tripawd club, and she just jumped up on the couch last week for the first time since her surgery. She must've been pretty proud of herself, because she promptly forgot why she stayed away so long. 🛋

💞🐶 BAILEY UPDATE 🐶💞
We tried to post about Bailey last night, but it wouldn't update. We had an awesome volunteer take Bailey to her new foster family yesterday afternoon, and she was a good little navigator. She enjoyed riding shotgun, where she got lots of pets on her road trip. 🗺
Bailey is settling in nicely with her foster family. She did a ton of exploring yesterday. She was a little nervous but took a nice nap after her big day. She played a little Goldilocks and tried out a couple different beds during the night. She even got to try out sleeping in bed with her foster family. 🛏
We have some medical concerns for this sweet girl, so she'll be headed to see our pals at Mazie's Mission to get checked out. 👩‍⚕️

🥳👏 ADOPTED! 👏🥳
Ooooooooh! MYLO! This handsome baby has found his family, and they have been having so much fun getting to know each other. Mylo was a special save - he was out of time at the shelter, and he was a staff favorite. One of our fabulous foster families stepped up and said "We'll take him!" They not only saved Mylo's life, but they also saved the hearts of the incredible staff at the shelter from having to be broken just a little bit more that day. 💞
Mylo came in as a scared, uncertain pup. He hid under his foster mama's car seat on the ride home. But that didn't stop his foster family from working hard on building his confidence by exposing him to new situations and helping him be brave. In fact, they dubbed him "Mylo, the Brave," and what a transformation for Mylo! 😱
Mylo joined his new family, and the very first evening, he crawled up for snuggles with his new dad. A little later, he got to go to a Super Bowl party and had a blast making new friends. He's gained so much confidence, and he's so much more comfortable than he was when he joined the rescue. Thank you to his foster family for working hard to give this baby the happily ever after he deserves. Lucky dog! 🍀

🐶🙌 EMBER UPDATE 🙌🐶
Ember's ER visit was just over $900. Please consider donating to help with this unexpected expense.

Ember is home and resting. She didn't have any more seizures or episodes overnight, though her heart did show some arrhythmia off and on overnight. 💗 She has had a very mild heart murmur off and on since she was a puppy, so with that and the arrhythmia, the doctors think she could be having some sort of heart-related episodes. Her bloodwork is normal and she's otherwise showing no signs of stress or discomfort.
She's thrilled to be home and immediately got a drink and had a snack (she was a little too nervous to eat at the vet's office). She's cuddling with her little human, and her Forever Foster family is so happy to have her home. 🏡
The bill for this visit was just over $900, and we'd be so grateful if you could share our post to help us raise some funds to help cover this unexpected expense. 💰 Thank you for everyone's prayers and concern for our sweet Ember girl.

You might remember a couple weeks ago, we had a scary situation with Forever Foster Ember having some sort of seizure or episode. Her vet visit was inconclusive, and the only thing we could do was wait and see if it happened again. 😟
Today, Ember had another episode, and it lasted much longer. She was conscious the whole time, but she lost control of her legs and fell down. You can see she's very wobbly in the video her foster was able to get. Her furry foster sister was very worried about her. 🥺
She's staying at Frisco Emergency Pet Care tonight so they can monitor her heart and keep her under observation. Please keep Ember and her foster family in your thoughts and prayers. We all know how difficult it is when one of our furry pals isn't feeling like themselves. 💗

🏆🥳 ADOPTED! 🥳🏆
We've got another special adoption announcement! Our beautiful Reagan gets to stay with her foster family, and it's the best FOSTER WIN! 🥰 We never could figure out why Reagan didn't get any good applications. She's pretty much perfect. But, when her foster family told us she was everything they could ever ask for in a furry family member, we knew it was meant to be.
Reagan originally came to us as a puppy in 2020, surrendered from a less-than-ideal situation with a few of her littermates. Our Forever Foster, Ember is Reagan's sister. Reagan was adopted by a wonderful family and turned into the biggest Daddy's Girl. 💜 Tragically, a couple years later, her dad passed away suddenly. 💔 Reagan was confused and very upset and ended up acting out against the senior dog in the home. It became a difficult and unsafe situation for both dogs, so Reagan came back to the rescue and brought a piece of her mama's heart with her.
She joined a brand-new foster family who had no idea they'd be fostering this pretty girl for the next two years and then some. During that time, they had their first child, and Reagan immediately assumed he was "her baby". She watched over him and was so gentle. As he's grown into a toddler, Reagan has been by his side, always watching out for him. They are the best of friends, and we love that he'll get to grow up with Reagan. Reagan's family said she loves sunbathing and her little brother and sleeping with a pillow - not necessarily in that order. 😁 She loves walks and playing with other doggie pals. When she gets a new toy, she promptly finds an old toy and obliterates it (gotta make room for the new addition, right?). She doesn't play with her brother's toys, and she recently decided to gift her mama with Reagan snuggles...we're pretty sure it was that boss move that sealed the deal. We LOVE this happily ever after! 💙

🎉 FOSTER FOUND! Thank you!

🧐🐶 FOSTER NEEDED - WHERE ARE OUR BEAGLE 🧐🐶
This adorable little girl needs a helping hand. Her family is in an unexpected and heartbreaking situation with elderly family members moving in with health issues requiring long-term, round-the-clock care. It's turned everyone's life upside-down, including this gal's. 😢
We'd like to get this sweetheart into a foster home and on her way to a new chapter to allow the family to focus on their loved ones during this impossibly difficult time.
If you like sassy, snuggly, stubborn, opinionated, sweet, silly pups, you'll love this baby. 😍 She's probably about 11 years old and gets along very well with other dogs. However, like a typical beagle, she believes her humans are constantly trying to starve her and will eat anything in sight. She will need to be fed separately and will likely do her best to turn you into a snack dealer asap. 😆

🥳🙌💙 ADOPTED! 💙🙌🥳
Ohhhhhh, this is such a special adoption announcement! Adorable little Sadie has been adopted by her foster family in an epic foster win. 🏆
Back in the Fall of 2022, our friends at Mutts & Mayhem Emergency Search and Rescue captured this girl after she'd been running around all by herself. We've been told it's possible she was abandoned when a rancher moved away, but we don't know for sure how she ended up having to survive on her own. All we know is she was terrified. She went to the shelter for her stray hold, and she was very scared in the shelter environment. Her time was running out when one of our awesome foster families came forward to foster (they also happen to be our foster coordinator and a member of our board of directors 💗).
Sadie joined them and warmed up right away to their other dogs. She was afraid of just about everything else. About a year later the family had their first child, and Sadie was fascinated. Fast forward another year, and they're best buds. 💞
Through all this time Sadie slowly came out of her shell and showed off a bit of a sassy personality. She has strong opinions about anyone being in the swimming pool. She's obsessed with balls and loves just about any snack. 🤤 She snuggles with her dad, and they've worked so hard to build her confidence that she can now go on walks and enjoy the experience. She has the best life, and we are on cloud nine with this happily ever after. 🥹
