ow to communicate with your dog effectively and thoughtfully to achieve your goals. Kim specializes in addressing behavior problems common among dogs adopted from shelters and rescue organizations. She teaches basic skills and provides solutions to typical unwanted behaviors such as leash reaction towards other dogs, housebreaking, inappropriate greetings, and unreliable recall. She is insured and an AKC-approved evaluator for Canine Good Citizenship titles.

MONTHLY HEALTH TIP

Many dogs love to play in the snow, and you might even notice your dog acting more energetic as the temperatures drop. But even though they have their own fur coats, they can still be affected by cold temperatures. Consider their age, health condition, size and coat type when deciding if it's too cold for your dog to participate in outdoor activities.

Here are some warning signs to look for:
- Shivering
- Lifting up paws
- Coughing

Avoid walking on slippery surfaces or where non-pet safe ice melt has been applied. Check for balls of snow or ice accumulating between their pads.
