💚 I am a retired vet tech. Seen some s**t, bad for mental health.

MOST IMPORTANTLY I SUFFER WITH DEPRESSION AND ANXIETY.

There are days I call in “sick” because I can’t get out of bed.
There are days I call in “sick” because I have panic attacks
There are weeks, repeat that, weeks that I can’t get your order done because I’m not well.
I’m a therapist, there are days when what I hear from my clients makes me shut down after work.
…..
So my point is this…if your order hasn’t been shipped in a timely manner there is always a reason.
I respect my clients. I love my clients.
What I ask in return is for your grace. .

🐾⚕️🩺 Vet techs are worth their weight in everything. They love your pet like it’s their own. They shed tears when bad news comes. They stay longer hours to be with your pet. They give you special privileges. They get your prescription done asap. They sit with your pet when they are hospitalized. They cry when they have to euthanize a pet. They work long hours. They work for poverty pay. They don’t get benefits. Their benefits are seeing clients happy or seeing their favorite pets. Vet techs do everything a doctor and RN does in the human world and gets poverty pay. Yet people will say they do it for the $. I have never met a veterinarian or vet tech who has said they do what they do for the income. Crazy. How would you like to be identified as someone who does their jobs solely for the money.

But they make amazing collars. I own two of their amazing collars. Their work is vastly different than mine. You need a tactical working collar during the day? Great, got you. Fun fact: Siberians know how to retaliate. They calculate their every move. The owner MUST be 6 steps ahead of them. I have many retaliation stories if someone doesn’t believe me lol.🐾😈

💐💁🏾♀️🐶 Happy Dog Mother’s Day! Let’s celebrate all the women (don’t worry dog dads, you get June) who have dogs instead of kids. Let’s know them, let’s honor them, let’s praise them, let’s be in aww of them. Becoming a “mom” to a dog is becoming more main stream, however, women who are not married or married and choose not to have kids, should be praised, NOT looked down upon. We are intelligent, educated, work for great companies, own our own homes (or 2 or 3 or 4), have zero debt and above all spoil our pets beyond words.

🐾 Let’s talk dog play/behavior. I own Siberians. They have a huge prey drive and that shows in their play behaviors. Commonly, huskies will bite their play partners on the back of their necks. When they do this they make a noise that to most people sounds like something is dying. Huskies are known for their rough play, vocal play.
Husky owners know that finding dog friends can be hard. Our dogs play rough. Like WWE rough. Furniture is routinely moved during husky play. If you get a husky for a first time dog, God be with you. I got my first Siberian at age 18 because I just watched Snow Dogs and thought they were pretty. 100% not a reason to get a dog. But 28 years later I still own (or owned by) huskies. Sometimes random things work in your favor.
Siberians play differently then most breeds. They are bred to run hundreds of miles. Have a prey drive that will put all breeds to shame. (I have a story about Fislon and a rat) Siberians are an old breed. Bred for working, pulling and protecting.

A small glimpse into my cramped workspace. Every inch of space is utilized so that I can create dog collars, bandanas and leashes. This space stores my fabric, photo props, an industrial sewing machine, a closet filled with shipping supplies and a tiny nook to take my product photos.
