Ferdinand the Bull! 🐃🐃🐃

Our boy Ferdinand is just like the quiet, gentle bull in the children’s story book.

He’s a sweet, mild mannered, gentle fella… who loves to lay in the grass and have his belly rubbed.

There is only one thing that will get his inner bull raging 😤

And unfortunately…that’s a
🦨🦨🦨🦨

Yep…our sweet boy got a hold of a skunk last night and he took a direct hit to face and neck.
😱😱😱😱

This is the 4th time he’s been sprayed…so clearly the smell is not a deterrent for him. 😂😂😂

It’s truly a nightmare to clean and deodorize your dog, yard, house, and yourself after a tangle with a nasty skunk. 🦨

Our house smells like we are burning a skunk scented candle.

I just ordered more skunk deodorizer called Pooph….so hopefully this too shall pass

It’s a wrap!!!

All of June and Iris’s puppies have been launched and they are now with their amazing families. 🥹

If you are a breeder you know the feeling…such overwhelming relief,😮‍💨 immense joy, 😀 and great satisfaction 🥰 that all the puppies are healthy, happy, and exactly where they were meant to be. 🏠

So it’s time to officially announce our keeper puppy from
Iris & Ferdinand’s Heirloom Flower Litter. 🌸🪻

Petunia….Tutu as we call her
is a blue and tan pied….ata or atat, she carries blue and chocolate from her momma Iris and possibly cream from her dad.

Color is just the icing on the beautiful cake…We could not be more pleased with Petunias overall quality, health, structure, and temperament.

She is a thick cobby, compact girl with a wide chest, big head, awesome rope and tight feet.
Just how we like them.

She is truly a stunning pup who inherited the best of both Iris & Ferdinand.

We had actually decided to officially retire over this next year…until Tutu was born. 🫣

We knew we would always regret letting her go… so she is officially staying. And we will officially be breeding on a much smaller scale….only having 1 maybe 2 litters a year.

Once again… we owe much gratitude and respect to the breeders who produced Iris and Ferdinand…Emily Mays and Dalila Zambrano.

And we tip our hat to all the breeders who played a role in the pedigree line Petunia now carries.

The French Bulldog desperately needs quality breeders who breed responsibly and hold fast to the standard and quality of this beautiful breed.

Our next breeding will be with Indigo and Ferdinand…. Hopefully in the next few months.

Indigo came into heat but split her heat so we are hoping she will resume her cycle in the next few weeks!

Our waiting list for that litter is filling up fast…let me know if you want to be added to the waiting list.

We are loving our time with these 4 beautiful.

Each one of them is so unique and so special.

Alyssum is a social butterfly 🦋 just like her momma.

Petunia is a little piggy, very funny… but oh so sassy. 🌶️

Forget Me Not is sweet 🍯and comical 🤣 with a side of sassy. 🌶️

Bachelor Button is part little old man 👨🏻‍🦳and part charmer. 🥰
His crystal blue eyes 👀 will melt your heart. 🩵🩵

Junes & Ferdinand’s Bees Knees Litter is 7 weeks old.

Bumble & Buzz 🐝 🐝

These two puppies are a crack up together. They are total opposites, and just the best buddies. 🩵🩵

It’s hard to believe our time
with them is winding down so quickly. Only one more week until they go to their amazing families. 🥹🐝🏠

Taking pictures of active 7 week old puppies is not for the faint of heart… 🥴🫣🤣🤪

Breeding Frenchies is an incredible blessing… there are moments of such deep joy, immense satisfaction, puppy love, mommas loving their puppies, meeting amazing families, and watching your babies grow up and be a blessing to their family.

But there are also deeply painful moments, sleepless nights, paths you wish you didn’t have to travel, tearful prayers for healing, tremendous losses you grieve deeply, and hurting families that grieve along with you.

Today our hearts went on a difficult journey that resulted in the loss of Iris’s beautiful Irish pied boy Cosmos.

I caught it early, and hit it hard with every tool and resource I have…many prayers and tears later he passed in my arms and I cried like a baby.

The Cosmos flowers will continue to bloom each summer 🌸 and be a beautiful reminder of our sweet boy.

You might not agree and that’s ok… but I believe all dogs go to heaven. Fly high my little guy. You are loved.

This is such a sweet litter….they love to cuddle together into an adorable little puppy pile.

Even though they are only a week old…their little personalities are starting to blossom. 🌸

Petunia and Forget Me Not eat with great determination and I can already tell they are going to be feisty.

Alyssum is soft and sweet , and loves her mommas milk.

The two boys are calm and once they have a full belly… they love to cuddle on mommas neck.

The Bees Knees Litter is 3 weeks old.

Buzz and Bumble could not be cuter together.

Buzz is the sweet, sensitive thinker…very smart and intuitive. He looks you in the eye like he is looking into your soul. I think he’s going to be a very empathetic little pup.

Bumble is a funny, goofy, jump in with both feet first kind of pup. He thinks milk is life… and he very mobile and walks like a 5 week old puppy. Bumble is huge and currently looking like Baby Huey.

The Bees Knees Brothers are 2 weeks old!!! 🐝🍯🖤💛

Buzz 🖤 & Bumble 💛 are just too cute together. They remind me of “Go Dog Go”…Big dog and little dog!!!

It’s been so much fun to see them interact and snuggle with each other.

Buzz is the sensitive, sweet, intuitive thinker and Bumble is the funny gentle giant.

They both share their mad love for momma and her bountiful milk bar!! 🍼🍼🍼

I had so much fun taking pictures of these two precious little pups! 🐝🐝

I can’t go to bed until I post one more word of thanks for our Heirloom Litter. 🥹

Bob and I want to thank the staff at Los Lunas Animal Clinic once again for their compassionate care, and dedication to our mommas and babies.

Puppy deliveries are always a bit nerve wracking🫣… but even more so when our mommas are due on a weekend. 🥴

The team at Los Lunas was with us and supported us every step of the way. ❤️

Thank you Dr. Thompson for your calm, and gentle presence and your care and assurance over the weekend…and for finally bringing Iris’s puppies into the world. Iris is so grateful you took the load off!!

Thank you to Charity, Brenella, and Oliva for being the smiling face that greets us and supports us.

Thank you to Keri the office manager and all the techs that helped revive Iris’s puppies…Bobbi, Adrianna, Charity, Tamara, Fran, and Briana. (please forgive me if I forgot someone)

And a very special thank is due to Dr. MacDougall who is retiring in May. 🥹

Dr. Mac you have been such a blessing to us over the years. And you were once again a blessing to Iris’s little Black Brindle puppy who had a very rough start.

I did not forget my promise to name her after you!!! 😉

It took me a while to pick a fitting name for her in your honor. But I think I found the perfect name.

We decided to name her after the flower…Forget Me Not.

As you retire and begin your new adventures… we will miss you and we will not forget you and all you have done for us!! May the Lord bless you and guide you as you start your new journey.

Much love to you all for all you do for our babies. We couldn’t…and wouldn’t want to do this without the entire staff at LL Animal Clinic.

It’s time to officially introduce Iris and Ferdinand’s Heirloom Flowers Litter.

Why did we pick an Heirloom Flowers Theme?

Well…as you’ve probably noticed… I have mad love 🩷 for flowers of any kind! 🪻🌸🌺🌼

But my favorite flowers are always the Heirloom varieties.

Heirloom seeds and flowers have such a rich history and tradition that has been passed down and preserved for generations.

To be an Heirloom… the seed must have been in cultivation for at least 50 years.

Some experts mark Heirlooms as those seeds that were in existence before World War II.

And Heirlooms must be open-pollinated by wind 💨 insects 🐝or animals🐿️ They are made by the beauty of nature alone.

This means the seeds will always grow plants true to type from generation to generation when they are shared and planted.

I just love that!!!

It reminds me of breeding Frenchies.

When we as dedicated breeders focus on the breed standard, and produce purebred puppies that meet the standard in health, quality, structure, and temperament we are creating a beautiful Heirloom for our families and for generations to come.

I want to thank all the breeders who came before us and created these beautiful Heirloom Pedigrees that were the foundation for these beautiful Heirloom puppies.
