Our Story
I opened On the Go Pet Services while living in Camden, Maine in 2008. The business was inspired by my sweet Labrador Retriever, Sally. She was the sweetest girl but rather shy and quiet. She didn’t like the water or getting into a car, strangers, most other dogs and humans. She loved our cats and would sleep right up next to them.
There were times that I needed to be away from home or just wanted to do a bit of traveling which became an issue. Who would care for Sally? Realizing a true need for a pet sitting and dog walking business, On the Go Services was opened. I was very busy and met so many wonderful cats, dogs and people. After moving to RI in 2010, I gave it some thought and started the business here. Competition is greater but I always try to spend the time to really know my clients. It has worked well with a good trusting bond that forms between myself and clients (human, canine and feline!).
Sally has passed on and I still miss her every day. On the Go Pet Services would never have begun without her inspiration and her refusal to get into a car....
