General Job Description:
- Trustworthy and dependable Independant Contractor needed to provide professional dog walking and pet vacation services for our client’s pets within their homes. This person needs to be very flexible as hours vary with each pet sitting service request. The hours of vacation pet sitting are anywhere from 7am to 10pm, 7 days per week. The hours of midday dog walking are typically between the hours of 10am-3pm Monday through Friday. NOTE: This is stop-and-go work, meaning up to four vacation visits are provided for our client’s pets throughout the day.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide timely and professional care of our client’s pets and homes.
Minor Duties and Responsibilities:
- Full and complete care of our client’s pets including (but not limited to) feeding, exercise, waste removal (litter boxes and or yard maintenance) and medication administration.
- Perform basic house care duties including (but not limited to) alteration of lights/blinds, plant watering, taking in mail/newspapers/packages, and taking out garbage and recycling on designated collection days.
Qualifications for the Job:
- Education: High School Diploma
- Experience: Prior experience working with pets in either a professional or personal nature. Would need to have above average knowledge of pets and their caretaking.
Other Requirements:
- Would need smart cell phone, have access to computer/emails, and have reliable transportation (car).
Key Competencies:
- Flexibility with schedule; ability to work seven days a week (when necessary) within the hours of 7am to 10pm.
- Ability to follow specific instructions in regards
to care of client’s pets and homes.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be strong enough to walk large dogs if necessary (even if they pull on their leashes).
- Must be able to bend over and clean litter boxes,
dog waste, and possible pet “accidents
