Fun fact: Did you know Monk Parakeets (also known as Quaker Parrots) are the only parrots that build stick nests in colonies? These clever birds can create massive nests over 5 feet across, weighing over a ton! 😲 They even live in their nests year-round, with up to 200 individual nests in one colony!

After 25 years of passion and hard work from Dick & Gloria, we're beyond grateful to continue the legacy they've built. It would be a disservice to our wonderful community to close the doors, and we're committed to keeping the spirt of House of Birds alive for all of you and your feathered friends 🐦💕

We've been pouring our hearts into cleaning and revitalizing the store, ensuring it's better than ever before. You can look forward to hand-fed baby birds and new food options to keep your feathered family healthy and happy. 🦜⭐️

Our hours will remain the same, and we're excited to welcome back Dr. Scott McDonald, who will be in-store on April 10th, 11th, and 12th! If you'd like to schedule an appointment with him, please give us a call and leave your name, email, and phone number to get added to the list 🗓

We Have Canaries!

Did you know? Fun fact: Miners once used canaries in coal mines to warn of dangerous gas levels. If a canary stopped tweeting, it meant there wasn't enough oxygen in the air—talk about a feathered hero! 🐦💨

After 25 years in business we will be closing our doors soon due to the passing of Gloria and Dick's health. We are slashing our prices 50% off all merchandise and birds.
