These two sweeties stayed over two weeks with us. It is so fun to get to know every pup that we care for but when it's an extended stay it is even better! Then before they went home Ivy at Carlson Acres Grooming gave these ladies new fresh cuts!

📣 BREAKING NEWS 📣 OFFICE RELOCATION

Chandra has been very busy the last couple of weeks building out a new office in our training/play space building! This end of the building was not being used to it's full potential and the original office was no longer conducive to the flow of Carlson Acres. Don't worry, there is still plenty of room for indoor pup play and training classes!

Now when you drive into Carlson Acres you will go into the new office which is the door on the right (next to the grooming room). The door has a #1 on it and a sign that says OFFICE. Please come on in, but do not go through the second set of doors. Per usual if no one is in we are out with the guests or cleaning and we will be with you shortly.

Curious what we are doing with the old office? We'll give you a hint, it has to do with our 🐈 guests!

Congratulations to Murray and his handler (his human)! Mr. Murray graduated from our AKC Prep class last fall, they then continued their training at home before testing, and passing to become a certified therapy dog team! Murray and his handler spend time with kids in the MCC school district. Congratulations! You two are awesome!

We are excited to announce another round of AKC training classes with Chandra Carlson. Chandra certified AKC Evaluator, she has also gone through the Karen Pryor Dog Trainer Professional classes.

The AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy program and the AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) program provides a perfect framework for training your dog to become a polite member of society. Based on you and your dog’s training needs. Our classes are aligned with the AKC CGC program and evaluations. Whether you want you and your dog to be awarded an AKC certificate or just a great companion, our classes will help you meet those goals.

Classes are slated to begin Wednesday, February 12th.
AKC CGC Prep Class @ 6:00 pm
S.T.A.R. Puppy class @ 7:30 pm

Many times when you pick up or drop off your pups it's LOUD and a bit crazy. This is because pickup and drop off times are the most exciting and sometimes stressful time of the day for our guests. People ask me often if it is always so loud and crazy, the answer is absolutely not.

Here is an unedited video from this morning before pick up hours with the original sound. As you can hear not much barking, lots of play and a few verbal corrections from staff.

To keep play safe and as stress-free as possible we ask you to refrain from walking up to the fences, we know it's fun to see all the pups but it does cause stress on the dogs, for their safety please stay over by the office.

🥶🐾 Pupdate 🐾🥶 Brrrrrrrr! Here is an example of what our days look like when it's so freaking cold out! We alternate outside play and inside play. We like to switch things up, most of our buildings are connected so we will open doors and let the pups check it all out. And yes I try to sweep with about 1,736 paws running through my piles 🤦‍♀️🤣
