Troy Vet Clinic would like to share an exciting bit of news! Our current receptionist, Sara, has been accepted into the veterinary program in Mississippi State where she will continue to further her education and abilities in the field. The unfortunate downside to this is that we will be looking to hire another receptionist in the near future.

We are looking to hire a full time Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. We are a small companion animal practice seeking a self-motivated and outgoing individual with excellent customer service skills, ability to multitask, with a friendly and outgoing personality. Previous experience in veterinary customer service is not required, though a customer service background is preferred.

This position requires individuals to greet clients and their pets, scan and keep accurate patient records, answer phones and relay messages, and ensure the best experience for clients from the moment they enter the door.

Job Duties:

Must demonstrate excellent customer service in person and over the phone
Manage the clinic schedule to ensure best possible workflow
Take dictation and accurate notes to relay to staff for positive client resolution
Perform daily office tasks such as scanning and filing, answering emails, replying to texts, and taking requests for records and prescription refills
Accurately take client payments and handle financial reports
Weigh pets, direct clients to exam rooms, and maintain a sanitary work environment

Compensation depends on experience.
