HELP we need kitten formula!
Yesterday we received a call from a lady who found 1 week old kittens in her cars engine! This lady had been driving her car all day, to work, running errands, then met her family for dinner! At the restaurant she smelt something really bad. Sadly, it was 2 kittens who didn't make it. They had to remove her fog light to get to where they were, they were shocked to find 4 more babies still alive! Of course we had to help them!
We desperately need kitten formula for these 4, and 3 others we are bottle feeding. Kitten formula can be dropped off at the rescue or it can he sent to us:

Update - May 21
The 2 remaining puppies are now 4 1/2 weeks old and are doing MUCH better! Unfortunately, mom is now being treated for the virus! We are hopeful but still praying!

Update: 4 of her babies have passed. The remaining 2 are still fighting the virus. Savannah Emergency Vet had recommended euthanizing the entire litter because they all have the virus. We just could not do it. We couldn't do that to Kika, we had to give them a chance to fight. So far the 2 remaining puppies are still eating, their eyes have opened, and they are fighting. We will not let them suffer and will take them back to the immediately if they get any worse. Please pray for them and for Kika!

Help! Emergency Vet trip for Kika's babies!
Kika's puppies are only 10 days old today. They haven't even opened their eyes to see the world yet! Today I noticed her acti g frantically on the camera in the mommy room, and then she went to the door, barked, and ran back to her babies! I could hear one of the babies crying a cry we all know isn't good. Yvonne rushed over to the trailer and checked on her, she was having problems breathing so we rushed her to the vet! (HUGE thank you to Sabrina who brought her to me in Richmond Hill). Sadly, I got the call 2 hours later that there was nothing left they could do for her.
We got back and checked on the others, they have been on antibiotics for congestion already and had seemed to be improving. The next puppy started with the labor breathing and the cry. Kika and the entire litter are on their way to the Savannah Emergency Vet!
Cedar Animal Hospital confirmed it is pneumonia, and think possibly viral pneumonia. Kika is an amazing mom, and she looked at the second puppy, snuggled it, and looked at us as if she was begging us to help. We are praying the others got there in time and can be saved.

Volunteers from K9 Battle Buddies were called out by the property owner to help rescue a litter of kittens. Several trips were made and 5 kittens were rescued from a tenant's air-conditioning unit and duck work. There was still 1 missing. They heard the kitten crying very loud and they assumed it was in the house in the duck work. The renters were out of town and had been for 3 days already. The property manager was concerned the kitten was destroying the air ducking and asked K9BB to enter the home and try to find the kitten.
In good faith, with the request and permission of the property manager (who has it in the lease they can enter property when it is believed damage is being done) the rescuers entered. They heard the cat crying loudly and followed the cry. They found it coming from a box that had a brief case on top holding the lid down. They removed the brief case, opened the box and found the kitten!!! It was purposely left in the box, closed with no way to escape! This kitten had NO food, NO water, and there wasn't even a bowl or any evidence food or water had been left, however, they did leave a cat toy!!!! They trapped this kitten, made sure it could not excape, and left it to starve to death!!!! It has been confirmed that the renters at this lot has been out of town in Florida for the past three days, the neighbors and the owners tried multiple times to contact the renters with absolutely no success or callbacks.
So there again shows they purposely locked this kitten up and left it to painfully die!!
The kitten is currently with K9BB. It is dehydrated, malnourished, and very stressed. He/she will get the medical attention needed and will have proper care.
Praying Long County Sheriff's office handles this case properly, protecting and serving our community & our furbabies!
