Nan’s Best Friend

I’m Nan Austin! I love Dogs! I have spent my life learning to communicate with dogs and understand their needs. Every dog wants to be a good dog, but in most cases they just need to be shown what to do. They want to learn to be your best friend for life.

As a child, people were amazed at my love for my own dogs and my ability to understand their feelings. I seemed to be able to perceive their thoughts, confusion and fears. I developed a deep desire to help others establish a wonderful relationship with their dog and eliminate “blocks” that lead to a troubled or uncontrollable canine. I knew I would spend my life helping others to acquire the superb friendship their dog can bring. This lead me to study Psychology and Education at The University of North Texas, Psychology at Kilgore College and become certified by the National Association of Pet Dog Trainers.

After 25 years as a professional dog trainer, I have learned that every situation is unique. I provide personal training for your dog and complete, personalized coaching and instruction for you. If you have a new puppy that needs basic obedience and house training or if your dog is developing bad habits, I can help! I love to see the emotion in an owners face and how they feel when they see their dog become attentive, loyal and loving!

This is my passion and my life’s work!
