3 DAYS REMAINING
Help Us Reach Our Goal and Save Lives!

The Solution Spay-Neuter Clinic is so close to reaching our year-end goal—and YOU can help us get there. Thanks to a generous $35,000 matching gift, every dollar you donate will be doubled, making twice the impact!

Right now, your donation will help us expand our clinic to stay open 4 days a week—providing life-saving spay-neuter surgeries to pets in need, preventing unwanted litters, and reducing euthanasia rates.

Why Your Donation Matters:

-Reduce shelter intake and overcrowding
-Decrease unwanted litters and prevent future generations of homeless pets
-Save lives by reducing euthanasia rates

We’ve raised over $32,200, but time is running out. With just a few days left in 2024, we need your support to close the gap and ensure the clinic can continue its vital work. Whether it's a large or small contribution, your gift will be doubled, so it has twice the impact.

Let’s work together to end pet overpopulation and make sure we’re saving as many lives as possible.

Donate today at: hssolutionclinic.org/support/—every dollar counts!

Humane Solution is thrilled by the outpouring of support for The Solution Spay-Neuter Clinic, which is becoming a vital resource for our community. We are dedicated to providing affordable spay and neuter surgeries for cats and dogs.
Currently, the clinic operates two days a week, but we envision a future where we can expand to four days, reaching even more pets and their families. Every dollar you contribute will be matched up to $35,000, doubling your impact and bringing us closer to achieving this critical goal. Together, we can create a healthier and more compassionate community for all animals.

Humane Solution Spay-Neuter Program was officially incorporated in December 1999 and began serving pets and people in need. The public did not have access to affordable spay-neuter services at that time, resulting in unwanted pets. Humane Solution Spay-Neuter Program went to the Forsyth Veterinary Medical Association and asked if they would provide spay-neuter surgeries for the public through a voucher program. Humane Solution would issue vouchers to the public and Humane Solution would pay the vets. Over these last 25 years, we have continued to provide affordable spay-neuter surgeries to low-income pet owners, issuing over 16,000 vouchers to those in need. We sustain our program through donations, grants, and fundraisers. In that time, we also incorporated a feral cat program, our successful pet vaccine and microchip clinics each spring and fall, and The Solution Spay-Neuter Clinic, which opened this July. Join us in the upcoming year as we celebrate 25 years of smiles, wags, and love.

*****PLEASE SHARE*****Every dollar raised between now and December 31, up to $35,000, will be matched dollar for dollar. We are 70% of the way to the finish line. In fifteen (15) days, The Solution Spay-Neuter Clinic will be able to help so many more cats and dogs avoid pregnancy. What a holiday gift that would be for the Triad communities.

Wendy used our feral program and knows how important it is. We understand how much these folks care for these cats, even if they are untouchable. Today we have the opportunity to raise $2,000 for our feral cat fund. If we can raise $1,000, it will be matched by a grant from United Spay Alliance, but we need your help to meet this goal. We are over halfway to our goal, and with your help, we can get there!

Everything changed when the cats showed up in Wendy's yard. As a disabled community member, her resources are limited. Wendy is also allergic to cats, and knowing winter was coming, she still purchased a heated house for the cats she had become bonded with. Being a responsible community member, Wendy knew she needed to get the mama cat spayed (she had brought her 5 babies by now, too). Wendy could afford one alteration, but not two. That is when she turned to Humane Solution for help. We will let our Feral Cat Coordinator, Lauren take it from here:

"I went to her home with a trap, ready to help her take the next step. It was clear that she was dedicated to her mission, and we spent time together, making sure we trapped both the mother and father for their surgeries. While we were waiting to trap the beautiful mama kitty—whom we called Braveheart—she taught me a few magic tricks, adding a lighthearted touch to the work we were doing. She didn’t know the young male was the father of the kittens, but by the time we were done, both cats were fixed, and the population in her area was under control.

Her gratitude for our work was deeply moving. She shared that Humane Solution had made a bigger impact on her life than just helping with the cats—it gave her a sense of hope and support she hadn’t expected. She was proud of the difference she had made, with our help, and so were we. It was a team effort, and this beautiful community member was just one example of the many individuals dedicated to making a difference in their neighborhoods. Working with her reaffirmed my belief in the power of collective action and the importance of programs like ours in supporting responsible pet ownership and community well-being."

Wendy and Braveheart's story is one we hear so often, and we are grateful to be able to lend a hand to those who love their ferals as much as they love their indoor pets. We know the difference accessible TNVR makes in the lives not only of the cats, but also their caretakers. Be a part of the humane solution to feral overpopulation, and help make this compassionate community bigger!

By meeting our goal today we will be able to continue helping folks just like Wendy.

What is a feral or community cat? "Community cats are unowned cats who live outdoors. However, community cats, also called feral or outdoor cats, are generally not socialized, or friendly, to people and can’t live indoors." - Alley Cat Allies.
Feral cats are the largest source of cat overpopulation since some studies suggest that upwards of 90% of pet cats are sterilized. These cats make up a large portion of the animals that end up in shelters and are usually euthanized since most are not socialized and cannot be adopted out. What can we do to help? Why spay and neuter of course! Special programs referred to as TNVR, or trap, neuter, vaccinate, & return are quite effective at humanely reducing the community cat population. Over time the size of cat colonies is reduced and nuisance calls taper off. To help with this issue locally, Humane Solution began our TNVR assistance program in 2019 and we have TNVR'd over 2,600 cats since then, including 897 in 2024 alone! Each cat that comes through our program receives surgery, mandatory ear tip, rabies and combo distemper vaccines, and flea treatment.
By donating today, we can continue to TNVR cats at an affordable cost and reduce the birthrate even more.

Today is the day we give to help others. Our goal is to raise $1,000 for our feral cat fund. This fund helps to keep spay-neuter costs affordable for feral cat caretakers, who often have multiple cats that need surgery. This goal will be matched by a grant for feral cats, so we have the potential to raise $2,000 for this very needed fund. Help us help them. Humane Solution has countless reasons to be grateful this year, most notably the successful opening of The Solution Spay-Neuter Clinic. This long-held dream became a reality thanks to the unwavering support of our community and the dedication of so many individuals.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to our Medical Director, Dr. Lorna McLeod, and our incredible board of directors for their vision and leadership in bringing this clinic to life. We are deeply grateful to our community partners, donors, and Forsyth County Animal Services for their continued support. A special thank you goes to our veterinarians, vet techs, and the amazing volunteer team who work tirelessly each week to perform spay-neuter surgeries.

Happy Thanksgiving! May your day be filled with love, gratitude, and the joy of knowing that together, we are making a difference.
