And then there was one. Arlo is staying with us for a couple extra days and then he’ll fly out to his new home after the holiday. In the meantime, he’s getting lots of cuddles and some extra training!

Little Linda was the last girl to join her family. Full of herself along with boundless energy, she was Carole’s partner-in-crime…always trying to wake her littermates when she was supposed to be sleeping! As the smallest pup, she made it her mission to find every little nook and cranny to hide in when playtime was over. We’ll miss all your antics, sweet girl! Looking forward to following your adventures!

Carole was the 2nd girl to go home and when she did, the house instantly became more somber. Gone was Linda’s partner-in-crime, the instigator, the mischief maker, the one who made us go “whew” when she finally fell asleep. Carole made us laugh every day and we can’t wait to see what she gets into with her new family!

Sweet Leo was the next to go home. He is the epitome of a gentleman and was the first to use his manners by manding. He loves to go to work (train) and runs to his training mat as soon as it’s laid out. As much as he loves to work, he also loves to snuggle! We’re so glad you live close and your new family will let us see you from time to time! You’re going to have a good life little Leo!

Brave little Joan was the first to leave. She was named for the great folk singer Joan Baez. If you’re familiar with Puppy Culture, she was our little Betty Pork n Beans! But with lots of confidence building exercises and socialization, she developed into an outgoing and willing participant in all the shenanigans! While she loves a good cuddle, she’s also very mischievous and is going to keep her new family on their toes! We’re looking forward to following all your new adventures!

Working on communication. The puppies know I want them to sit quietly and wait for their treats. With patience and waiting for them to understand the assignment, we get the results we’re hoping for!

One of the most important things we can do as breeders for both our puppies and families is to make sure our pups go home feeling safe in their crates. We have been crate conditioning a step at a time…first with the lid off, then lid on with no doors, and finally, to a fully assembled crate. Last night, the pups were able to sleep comfortably for 3 hours before needing to go potty. Success!
