I will be at Peace Full Ground this Saturday from 10a-2p! Stop in for a tasting of our newest mushroom tea creation ‘Koselig’. Named for the wintery Norwegian concept of coziness and togetherness (read more about it through the link in my bio) this tea has a Shiitake mushroom base blended with chamomile, turmeric, hawthorn berry, cinnamon, and rosehip. It is lightly sweet with earthy notes and a little spice… Perfect for these days as we move into winter. There will also be fresh mushrooms for sale, fall flower bouquets, a buy one get one plant sale, Garden Thyme Herb mulled cider, and an array of locally produced art and handmade items for holiday shopping. I will be hosting a tea tasting to celebrate the release of my newest mushroom based tea, along with having lots of fresh mushrooms for sale. Hi everyone… Happy Saturday! Things have been quiet on social media lately because so many great things have been happening in real life! One exciting piece of news I am jumping out of my seat to share is the opening of Loony Goose Gastropub in Turin… Ryan Bush and his wife Danelle have put together an amazing Gastropub concept featuring many locally sourced products, including Little Village Mushrooms! I love the menu nods to some of Lewis County’s past signature dishes (who else remembers Greystone Manor’s famous shrimp scampi?) intermingled with traditional English pub fare offerings, elevated mains (beef Wellington!) and inspired tapas style share plates. They open today at 11am… with full dinner service this evening…. Not to be missed!

Our shadows grow long

I was beyond thrilled to spot these tiny Scutellinia scutellata polka- dotting a decomposing log on a walk in the woods with my son the other day. No bigger than the tip of a pinky finger, with bright orange fruit bodies and tiny black hairs all along the circumference, they can be a challenge to find, but easy to identify thanks to their unique features.
