You should be just as educated, if not more than your dog when you sign up for dog training. You are the key to their long term success.

If you don't know the what, how, and why - you probably won't be consistent with what your trainer has done with your dog and therefore fail in any real success.

Be sure you choose a trainer that provides this kind of education.

Have a Rottweiler? GSD? Malinois? Cane? Listen up! We love these breeds, but many times people put off training ONLY UNTIL they start showing the troubling behaviors that are common with these and like breeds.

We want to encourage you to start as early as possible. We always want to be preventative, not reactive. Start early and you can have way more success with your strong and smart dog.

STOP believing you need dog training basics, ONLY. Basic dog training is basic. Basic is barely the fundamentals of learning obedience commands in a traditional training sense. There are 2 big problems with this.⬇

1) You don't only need to learn obedience commands. You need to learn how to understand important matters of dog behavior, how to at least read your dogs behavior, so you can address behavior issues and fulfill their needs.

2) Basics will get you training that will not last a lifetime, nor be anything useful, practical, life changing, or be anyting that provides safety for your dog or others.

You certainly wont have off leash reliability or the kind of obedience to include your dog in everyday things, if thats what you want to do.

If you want life lasting success, obedience that could keep your dog and others safe, obedience that helos yoru dog be calm, address behavior issues, bring peace to your day and life with yoru dog... Then you need much more then the basics. You need real obedience training -call it advanced if you want. This is what we do.

Mom and Daughter success with Cassie - a reactive little pup! Living in an apratment complex with a reactive dog can be tough when dogs are always passing by and your dog peirces your ears everytime. Sound familiar?

A barking dog sounding off throughout the day or everythime you have to potty them can be very stressful, embarrassing, and disruptive of your peace. Gone are the days that Cassie causes this kind of stress.

They now have the skills and know how to be succesful with Cassie so they can fully enjoy her more then they ever have but have the peace and control in thier day they deserve.

Cooper the lab has been so fun to work with and we know is going to be the star dog thier owners are dying for! They want to share life with Cooper in as many ways as possible. THey also want and need him to be incredibly mannered everywhere they go but of course aat home too.

Having a well behaved dog who knows the rules and expectatiosn of life is essential to have peace in your day with a dog.

Candy season is here, and that can mean extra risk for our dogs.
Even small amounts of certain sweets can be dangerous.

🚫 Keep these away from your dog:

Chocolate (especially dark or baking chocolate)

Sugar-free gum or candy with xylitol

Raisins

Hard candies or candy corn

✅ Safer treat options:

Plain pumpkin puree

Dog-safe biscuits

Frozen banana pieces

Peanut butter (xylitol-free)

If you have kids or guests bringing in candy, make sure to keep it stored up high and teach your dog a solid “leave it” cue for the future!

A little prevention goes a long way in keeping your dog safe and healthy.

If you have kids or guests coming to the door, it’s best to keep your dog calmly in their crate or a quiet space.

This helps prevent stress, barking, or accidental candy snatching.

A little management and structure go a long way in keeping your dog safe and calm.

Want the everwhere dog? Your dog needs to be able to do all these 3 things!

1) Be recalled from distractions
2) Be calm in a down or sit around distractions
3) Be able to walk calmly past distractions

We are constantly keeping these goals in mind when training all the dogs in our programs. If your dog cannot, you are sure to experience embarrasmanet, safety risks, and honestly probably end up leaving your dog at home.

Recall is probably th emost important command to train your dog! it could be the command that protects your pup or someone else. Many unfotunatley do not have a reliable recall. Here arte some tips to build a great successful foudnation for recall!

Flynn!! He is killing it with his training and we are so proud. He came in a nervous fearful guy and he har grown and come out of his shell so much. THe trust that he has build with us is beuatilful that his owners have been able to use to help him grow with the world and other friends and family. He also is learning to have incredible manners and obedience to allow him to go nearly anywhere with his family.

This guys future is bright and we cant wait to see how he progresses and all the adventures he gets to enjoy in the near furture!
