Waterworks Master Blake is ranked 3rd fastest of Springers in AKC Fast CAT in the AKC 2023 final standings!!! Jacey(his human mom) has 2 springers with Waterworks pedigrees.
Blake is a past pup of our Mayzee and our Boone and was trained from age 8 weeks to 12 weeks

My facility offers overnight vacation boarding, grooming & bathing services as well as obedience training - including private lessons, group classes, day camp classes, puppy preschools, and board & trains.

My name is Katie Beth Dean and I'm the owner of this dog-related businesses proudly serving the Cumberland Gap Region for the past decade! I'm an alumnus of Lincoln Memorial University where I received two degrees in Veterinary Health Science as well as my MBA. My education opened so many doors for me - I've had the opportunity to research and work with wolves, wolfdog hybrids and even a couple coyotes thrown into the mix. Animal behavior has always been my passion and I managed to take as many classes on the subject as I could. I started GLDT as a part-time dog walking & training service in high school and have steadily grown to what it is today. As a baby trainer I thought a love of dogs made me a good trainer, but I know that my education & continuation of knowledge has made me what I am today.

Four years ago, I added Creekside Canine, my luxury pet resort into the mix. I’m happy to say that dream is ever evolving and expanding! (More on that to follow in other posts!)

Over the past couple of years, I've been lucky enough to get to travel the country competing with dogs on National levels with invitations (two years in a row) to NADD (Dock Diving) National Championships and the AKC Rally National Championships. I'm beyond proud to be a representative of my hometown and our southern Appalachian region at these events and as an influencer on Tiktok. When I'm not training, working, or showing (there's not much time for much else I'll admit) I'm traveling, reading, cooking, creating, and writing. One day I dream to become a published author.

As for my training, I use science-based and minimally invasive training techniques with a firm belief in the saying "Train the dog in front of you". The majority of dogs coming to me for training are trained entirely using positive reinforcement and marker/clicker training. I advocate for proper training tool education and usage and never believe they should be offered immediately as a cure-all. I'm just a trainer that makes good dogs - I specialize in training pet obedience, puppy socialization, competition rally obedience, and therapy dogs for universities, therapists' offices, and nursing homes. I also enjoy training in more specialized things such as scent work, shed hunting, and retrieving foundations. I've worked with all kinds of breeds - from Shih Tzus to Australian shepherds to every mix and "Doodle" in between, but I have to say sporting breeds - spaniels, retrievers, setters, and pointers have my heart & I'm always excited to see them in my programs.

I kept Kona — black/white male
pup from Lucy/Bradley litter and also Maui -liver/white female from Phoebee/Bradley litter.

They are developing wonderfully and such great dogs. Kona will be our future stud at Waterworks Springers.

Both Maui and Kona will add some European pedigrees to our springer lines and we are excited for the future !
