“Standard Poodle available for adoption!
My husband and I took in a Standard Poodle off of Craigslist almost 2 weeks ago. He was being advertised as cheap and his previous owner did not show any signs that she cared where he ended up. We drove down last Saturday and got him to ensure he didn’t end up in a bad place. We took him in knowing that we would be temporarily fostering him until he found a perfect home. He’s such a good dog that it’s hard to post him but I really can’t have 4 dogs and a toddler 🙈
His name is Buck and he’s an almost 2 year old Standard Poodle. He’s a little guy weighing only 29 lbs. Bucky is neutered and went and got all of his vaccines today. We also got his heart worm test and f***l done and both were negative.
Bucky is a really sweet dog! He takes a minute to warm up and then he’s ready to climb into your lap for a cuddle. He is house broken and sleeps through the night in his crate. He hasn’t tried to mark anything in our house or yard. He hasn’t shown any signs of separation anxiety either. He gets along well with our 3 dogs and loves to play with our Standard Poodle. He also loves our toddler and wants to play with her. He walks perfectly on leash, loves to play ball, did well with his groom. We were told he enjoys going on trail rides with the previous owners horses and that he went on a boat a lot as a puppy. He was allowed to roam his previous families 13 acre farm with horses, cows, and sheep. I believe he might have a future as an agility or fly ball dog as he has great prey drive and is fast and smart. He has also been going on runs with my husband and other poodle and he loves it!
We took him to Home Depot tonight and he did soo good! He walked on a loose leash the whole time, readily accepted cuddles and treats from the employees and wasnt afraid of the loud noises!”
