Hello Everyone! I want to start with a Congratulations to Ann & her adored Dino, at 12-years, winning our Potato Race during our 2022 Delmarva Region, National Capital Therapy Dogs, Inc., picnic!
Dino, and Ann, never cease to help everyone they meet relax, let go the angst and take in a breath of beauty!
We, Peter & Fred and Mouse & me, were visiting Dover Place Senior Living yesterday. A very lovely lady was slowly stroking Mouse and I asked if I could take her photo. She said yes!
To protect her privacy, I have cut most of her out of this photo. It's just Mousie with a huge smile of happiness & contentedness. .
Mr. Dominic and his mama, Eileen, were visiting BAyhealth IT in tyhe Blue Hen Mall a couple of days ago when one person asked if Dominic could model her new birthday sunglasses.
Being the ever loving boy, Dominic quickly responded, then posed for his photo!

We are very happy to say we have been invited back to the library!

We are soon to have another Therapy Kitty in our group~ She will not be able to go to hospitals - but senior living facilities wlll love her!

Our Delaware Region of the National Capital Therapy Dogs, Inc., were visiting at Dover Place last Saturday. It was great fun for ALL!

We had a terrific time visiting the Residents and Staff of Dover Place Senior Living yesterday - 9/11. We had 12 Teams - Mouse & me, Janet & Gretchen, Mike, Wendy & Bella, Kari, Larry & Nethou, Phoenix and Eli, Eileen & Dominic, Pat & Sadie, Paula, Tome & Dugan, Linda & Molly, Diana & Allie and Clair with Honey - in attendance. The Residents loved us, our dogs loved the residents and all went very well. Congratulations everyone on a job well d**g!
We, myself with Mouse, Carolyn Baynes with Ari & Chance, and Howard Gaines III with Bandit - were again invited to the current class of Delaware State Troopers Cadets to educate them about the differenced in Service Dogs, Therapy dogs, and the emotional support animals.
Before and after the lecture, the Cadets were allowed to interact with our Therapy Dogs & everyone loved it!
We look forward to spending time with the Cadets again in the future (next month is another graduating class!).
Another GREAT day for the National Capital Therapy Dog Teams at Bayhealth! Today, ALL Volunteers were welcomed back to Bayhealth and we were invited to that celebration too! Great seeing our old friends and making new ones! Thank you for bringing us back Bayhealth!
16 months to the day, after volunteers were no longer allowed into Bayhealth, our Therapy Dog Teams were invite back to cheers and signs and good will from dozens of staff!
Here's Finn the Shetland Sheepdog, Dominic the Maltese, Whimsy the English Cocker Spaniel, Bentley the Bulldog and Mikey the Tibetan Terrier making their way into Both Bayhealth Dover and Sussex!

We were invited back to Bayhealth Medical Center - both Dover and Sussex - today. The staff and administrative people were they cheering us as we entered the hospital for the fist time since March 13, 2020. It was so wonderful seeing our old friends and meeting new one! The dogs were so excited to be coming back! Here's some of what the staff made for us for us!
