UPDATE -

I think it’s safe to assume NONE of the 4 females I bred back in August 6th - Aug 11th and then in beginning of September, are gravid .
We are going on almost 3 months here !

I can’t see why or how ALL 4 that I witnessed have NUMEROUS LOCKS with FERTILE PROVEN breeder males, end up NOT takin or ABORBING the eggs , when they were gravid I saw all the signs and weight gain in each one AND felt eggs while feeding and monitoring each individual female !!

It blows my mind !
V***n and Venus do not look gravid anymore.
Sweetpea and Pandora do look gravid trangular shape rounded at bottom aggressive eating weight gain after breeding visual lumps from eggs and was able to physically feel them

Listen I’m not stupid I can tell when females are gravid compared to ovulation
I don’t understand what is going on
None of the 4 are at all in any physical distress from dystocia
Never in 9 years has this happened to me

I’ve had first time females go max two months after locking but never almost 3 now .

By tge end of the month if I get no eggs from anyone I may try AGAIN !

I’m Pretty friggen BUMMED out as I’ve been waiting YEARS to breed Sweetpea Pandora and v***n they were ones I was so incredibly excited for .

I’ve gone through all the check lists far as my husbandry goes feeding substrate temps everything and everything is exactly how it should be .

Keep in mind these are females I’ve raised since hatchlings that I bought and NEVER have BRUMATED so they don’t know that routine other than their natural clock . So it’s not like I brumated them stopped and now they are all screwed up .

Even if they didn’t take in August and waited till early - mid September by now I should be seeing extremely obvious signs they are about to lay

So they have absorbed or something
Frustrating 😑😏🤷🏻‍♀️

Oh boy !!

All 4 girls are in prelay shed !! Went in later this evening to check on them as I have been and Sweetpea Venus and v***n are all in blue Pandora was past the faded eye stage so I didn’t actually think she was about to shed then an hour later I see her shedding on the camera !

So the countdown begins for Pandora ! Finally lol 😂

I imagine Venus will likely be next her or Sweetpea then v***n

I’m so happy to see the prelay blues on these girls

I’ll post more updates soon as any eggs arrive lol whenever the hell that will be, cause it’s obvious that MY FEMALES have to be extreme weirdos and NOT FOLLOW standard guidelines as science has known !!!

It’s so weird it really is this is the longest I’ve had females take to lay eggs could be chalked up to not brumating but who the heck knows …

As of today we still don’t have eggs from any of the 4 girls I can see they are gravid I can feel the eggs inside each one of them ! I haven’t bred every single year in my 9 years now but I do know when a female is gravid .
Not entirely sure why we are going on 11 weeks here for any of the 4 except v***n she’d be about 45-50 days out .

Far as the other 3 all I can assume is they didn’t take when they locked with the males and held onto it for a couple weeks which would explain why we are 11 weeks out from successful NUMEROUS LOCKS with each male

Its just a waiting game 🤷🏻‍♀️

I would think and Hope I’ll be seeing EGGS from any of my 4 girls actually 3 v***n won’t probably lay for another few weeks but it’s been exactly 8 weeks since the other 3 were paired several times with their designated males from August 6th through August 11th …
It seems this is a reoccurring thing for females that I myself have raised from hatchling , for whatever reason when I breed them for the first time they take about 8 weeks a little more or a little less give or take to lay a clutch of eggs !!
Once they lay the first clutch though, the next season they will lay at a normal time frame 30-45 days !
That’s super interesting! These 4 girls are 4 years old, it takes them a long time to get to size with more than perfect feeding schedules and husbandry !
This all plays into my theory on higher elevation having some sort of Slowing affect on their growth and other things !!!

Anyway I hope to be posting egg pics soon !!🤞🏻 I do feel the eggs they are obviously gravid all tell tale signs so again it’s a matter of waiting !

Ugh I’m getting antsy! I wanna start seeing some eggs here ! They haven’t absorbed them they are extremely gravid they are just taking their sweet times to lay them …..
Sweetpea and Venus should be any time here right off, has to be !

UpDATE - NO EGGS YET………

I’m currently still waiting to see eggs from any of my girls that bred back in beginning of August, each one of the 4 I’ve tried first this year are all first time breeders . That have NEVER been Paired !

There’s NO DOUBT Sweetpea and Venus are for sure gravid !

I never saw Pandora lock with Sterling but she looks just as gravid as the other two and v***n just locked with nomad not to long ago .

In the past years I’ve had first time females go two months before laying eggs from the time of locking with one specific male and not being with any others after .

It’s been 43-44 days since Sweetpea (RF JMG line strawberry female ) locked with NOmAD (Salvatore line male tessera ) and she doesn’t appear to be going into that prelay shed yet so it’s just a matter of waiting !

It’s only been two weeks since V***N (high contrast Anery tessera Salvatore line female ) bred with NOMAD (Salvatore line make tessera ) so I don’t expect to see her showing signs of being gravid yet .

It’s been 47 days since PANDORA (flare line okeetee anery female ) was with STERLING (flare line RF one copy Anery male) BUT I NEVER saw them lock up so if she lays eggs even though she looks very very gravid I’d be shocked !

And it’s been what, 45-47 days since VENUS (mystery hypo line) Ghost female PH amel charcoal motley was with the FLARE line Zigzag Normal male

I will have eggs, it’s just a matter of when 😆
Not sure why all my first time females want to take so so long to lay eggs when the normal time is 35-45 days for normal females hell none of them appear to be going into prelay shed yet as of currently …..

EXCITING UPDATE ON MY BREEDING SEASON !!

NOMAD X V***N LOCKED SEVERAL times Friday ….!!

I’ve waited years to finally start my contribution to the Salvatore line, created by Jessica at Cornbred Reptiles.

History about this line of u don’t already know about DAMON and his line.

Damon is a very stunning bold Clean okeetee Miami looking Tessera male that Jessica bought years ago . He has turned out to be het snow sunkissed .

Once I saw him by following her page I fell in love .

Over the years every time Jessica has bred this amazing boy no matter who he seems to pair with he ends up producing funky bold offspring. Although naturally the offspring are way better
If he breeds back to one of his own daughters then the offspring become even more funky wild an bold, yet at the same time very Clean looking .

Jessica has since named his generations of beautiful bold high contrasting looks as the SALVATORE LINE

However in the past couple years she has also created a Sub Line Called RIPPER for the offspring that are more unusual more extreme and crazy patterned,
some of them, in each clutch, just stand out above the rest, having wild patterns that remind her of vampire teeth ripping threw flesh lmao 🤣part

I’ll include some of Jessica’s pics over the years so you all can see why I’m so excited that these two below Bred on Friday Night many many locks cause nomad is the man this year lol 😆

If all goes well, and I get a healthy clutch that hatches and lives and thrives, then years down the road, I plan to cross Salvatore line with the Sarah mohrs, Flare Line ❤️

Not only that but I will also cross Salvatore line with Jessica’s other mystery hypo line that I have a ton of …….😬🤩❤️
I can see the outcomes in the future !

I saw Venus lock with the flare line zigzag normal boy PH hypo anery diffused sunkissed charcoal redcoat but she isn’t looking gravid to me and she was the first to lock before any other girls so if she was she should woukd be showing it …..

AND YES BEFORE ANYONE SAYS ANYTHING YES I DO PUT TWO DIFFERENT MALES IN WITH MY GIRLS , ONE AT A TIME, AT DIFFERENT TIMES IF I DONT SEE ANY SIGNS OF BREEDING OR LOCKS

V***N- Salvatore line high contrast Anery tessera girl het amel PH sunkissed I had with nomad -Salvatore line male tessera het snow sunkissed ( as I want some damn ripper quality offspring 😩) before I put him in with Sweetpea but never saw interest between them or any locks so I’m pretty sure she isn’t gravid unless she locked the year before when I put nomad in and nothing happened from it ?
But I did try sterling after nomad so maybe she is gravid but not far enough yet ….

PANDORA - okeetee anery PH hypo sunkissed charcoal diffused redcoat is looking the TYPICAL LOOK of a GRAVID girl But I never saw her lock with Sterling and he was in with her several times 🧐 guess I’ll have to wait and see both her and Sweetpea are 30 days since pairing give or take a few days .
So could have eggs from her soon ??

Update -!!!!!😳🥰🤩😬 I DO BELIEVE I have a few gravid girls 🤔🤩 one there’s no doubt the others I’m not quite positive…

SWEETPEA- RF JMG line Strawberry female het anery diffused sunkissed charcoal amel is VERY VERY GRAVID there isn’t a doubt in my mind !

I’m excited but terribly nervous as she is one of the females that is smaller and I just hope she passes each egg perfectly without problem and hopefully they are all healthy !!

NOW i stuck two males in with her -

STERLING-RF Anery het charcoal strawberry PH diffused sunkissed redcoat was FIRST as he was the one I wanted her to pair with most ! They were together August 8th -9th I never saw any locks and I had a night vision IP camera recording constantly but if by chance they did lock and I just didn’t see it then he could be the sire!🙏🏻🤞🏻😬

THE ONE I DID SEE lock with her so many times it was insane, was NOMAD- SALVATORELINE TESERA (okeetee Miami looking lineage) male het snow sunkissed,

I have never seen any male go so hard at a female in 9 years in this hobby lmao 🤣 and it was lock after lock after lock I’m not even sure how many exactly but HE IS LIKELY THE SIRE .

Which ok nothing wrong with that . Be interesting to see the offspring should get some snows RF and not maybe some snow sunkissed RF and not which I’d be tickled for and anerys and amels some RF some not
Could be interesting 😬

IF I GET SNOW OFFSPRING AND TESSERA OFFSPRING but also get CHARCOAL AND anything that comes out diffused then good chance both Sterling and Nomad sired the clutch cause nomad is not het charcoal at least his father has been proven NOT to be . An Sterling isn’t het amel in his line at all .

These aren’t top notch pics by no means and I don’t know why but the coco fiber screws with the colors and makes the pic look overall crappy with vibrant red snakes

Pairs I’ve put together so far ,

Sterling X Pandora - no interest whatsoever from either of them .

Sterling X Sweetpea- no witnessed locks or anything leading to what could be a lock

Venus X zigzag Normal boy locked with her at least Twice that I saw - first time breeding for both of them .

Nomad X V***n - both Salvatore line teeseras and Anery tessera - didn’t see anything that would make me think they would lock (sucks cause this is one I wanted badly also .

Clean Normal( Flare line ) - with Pandora AGAIN no interest which I am confused because it clearly appears she is ovulating yet I’ve stuck 3 different males in with her and both her and whatever male are completely not having it both her and said male want away from the other

This is exactly how and why I end up with clutches that can confuse me as to who the sire really is . Cause when nothing happens I move onto the next planned male

And last but not least NOMAD. X SWEETPEA

So all in all I should be expecting eggs from VENUS and SWEETPEA if the breedings were successful in a month or so give or take being this is first breeding for all these girls this year except Clara and Trinity
Which I plan to breed both of them also but we will take a break now and wait for Nomad and Sterling to rejuvenate before sticking with Clara and Trinity

Update - we have Numerous successful locks as of last night .

Sadly Not from the male I wanted with this female, as he was with her the night before with a night vision camera watching their every move and it does not appear that Sterling- RF (one copy) anery het strawberry het charcoal with PH redcoat sunkissed and diffused .
Was even slightly interested in Sweet Pea - JMG Line Coral strawberry het anery amel diffused

I’m not patient a lot of the time when it comes to breeding lol
I really wanted Sterling to be the one that Bred with Sweetpea -JMG Coral Strawberry Het amel het anery het charcoal het diffused but I kept thinking about how I may want Sterling to breed with Trinity or Clara again and don’t want his s***m count to be so incredibly depleted by breeding every weekend to a different female .

So At the very least I can be excited for this clutch if she has one that’s viable and makes it to hatch
I could get a bunch of RF stuff which I’ve been wanting to add Redfactor and Strawberry and other Hets into my part of the Salvatore line

All with the added hets/phets of strawberry charcoal diffused

HOWEVER NOMADS mom IS HeT HYPO

We will just have to wait and see if I get eggs
Because if NOMAD is het Hypo that means everything listed above could be hypoberry and some not . But I’m excited to be adding RF and strawberry into this line and I think only other girl nomad may breed is v***n hopefully or trinity again .

So can’t say it’s confirmed yet , but we may have already had a lock between a male partial zigzag (Sarah Mohr Straleys, Flare line ) Normal- het anery PH charcoal diffused hypo redcoat

Venus - Ghost -possibly hypoberry anery or poss strawberry anery or just het hypo or het strawberry -From the mystery hypo line that started with motzart, from cornbred reptiles. Uther X Alice I believe was her parents .

I didn’t plan this one either so if they did lock it really is up in the air on what I’ll get because of all the freaking possible HETS that could or won’t prove out,

IF and only If both Venus and this Flare line zigzag normal male Do end up Proving to be het Charcoal (which I NEVER said above what Venus had for Hets/PHets then I might have some hypo berry in there however that’s Gona be hard to tell without knowing for sure .

Sweetpea has an Insanely long tail for a female .

I’m hoping she is actually female as sold at VMS although if I did find out Sweetpea was male I would stick him with all my girls if he could handle it !

Trinity / Clara /Venus /Pandora and v***n !

These are My goals with a lot of these pairings this year,
is to add 100% known JMG line Coral Strawberry into them ,

for example the mystery hypo line that started with motzart over at cornbread reptiles . That I’m pretty positive I proved in 2022 was strawberry .

Another example is wanting to add RF and strawberry along with the hets charcoal sunkissed diffused into Flares line that Sarah Mohr Straley started ,
I have already added it a little with Sterling in 2019 but I want it to be very present !

I also very much want to add RF and strawberry and hets
charcoal and diffused into Jessica’s other line, Salvatore/Ripper line that started with Damon !!

If I can manage to achieve these goals either with Sterling (which would take longer) or if Sweetpea ends up being male somehow that could really help things along .

I don’t Probe snakes I refuse I will hurt it on accident and damage reproductive organs so I’m not sexing Sweetpea, she was sold as female but people make sexing mistakes even best of best sometimes it’s not a huge deal.

Update 8-6-24 Sterling was put with Pandora overnight I didn’t witness any locks or even extreme interest yet between them .
Nomad was also with v***n overnight

Last night 8-8-24 I stuck Sterling with Sweetpea overnight they had a lot of interest and plenty of chasing was recorded in my camera but I didn’t witness any locks yet but it could have happened.

Stuck Sterling in with Pandora tonight

I plan to leave them overnight with my night vision up camera watching them . Pandora was a bit interested but Sterling didn’t seem to be so may have to keep swapping them out until he successfully locks with one them NEXT to try is SWEETPEA.
then I’m not even sure how long of a break he should get or have in between successful locks before the next female ? I remember someone saying a week ?

Any one got suggestions on that? On how long he needs in between girls ?

I want him to rest of course, but it’s obvious that I’d like him to sire 3-4 clutches with different females this year, if he can for one and is potent enough s***m wise , for two .

Also stuck Nomad in with V***n . If he doesn’t lock with her I’ll try him with Trinity if he locks with her I’ll give him the necessary break needed and try him to v***n again . REALLY wanted some straight Salvatore-Ripper line quality offspring from those two so I do hope they lock soon .

But my season has started !!😬🤞🏻
Guess we shall see how it goes .
