My lovely senior client, Annie, has a house guest this weekend. Mav is a sweet, smart, handsome boy who joined us on our walk today. He's still a puppy but Annie was the model of patience with this young whipper-snapper. ❤️🐾

Thunderstorms are certainly not the typical ⛈️ Fortunately, the worst of it tends to pass quickly. Pressure changes as well as the noise can be very stressful for many dogs. So even though we can't hear it, our dogs can still feel it. Stay safe out there! 🐾

Hank wants me to remind you that next week is supposed to be sunny ☀️ & hot🔥 in Seattle! Please keep your dogs cool by providing plenty of fresh water, taking your long walk early & preparing frozen treats in advance. 🐾🐶

PSA: Foxtail grass is out in force all over this time of year. Please keep your pets away as the awns are like tiny razor blades can easily embed themselves under your pet's skin, between toes, in ears, etc.
🐾 Save your pet a lot of pain and yourself a huge vet bill by removing from your lawn, or areas you frequently walk your dog.
🐾 Be sure to dig them out! Mowing or using a weed-wacker just spreads the awns making them invisible.
🐾 You can find them in large clumps around utility poles or trees or even just a couple of stalks near curbs or plant beds.
