Two healthy calves this week! Little silver Iris was born yesterday. She has some legs on her but we are hopshe will stay small. Red Roy was born today, he named after my late father and his name means, Red King.

We were just praying for healthy and Mother Nature took care of the rest.

Ranching is not hard, except when it is. Premature bull calf born Wednesday, I named him Al for almost leap year. Mama rejected him so we did what we could until he gave up. We did what ranchers do and chose what was best for the animal.

I held him until it was time, told him he was a good little cow. Sometimes ranching is hard.

Oh my, what is that under the Christmas tree? A new Highland Calf!! Well, you could wrap a picture of him.

Mr Columbo will be ready for his new home in late March, or early April (born Oct. 9). He is the last one of the 2023 season, our 2024 calving season starts in February, so stay tuned for more cuteness!!

Today, our little Roxie gave birth to our 3rd baby of the season, 2 blacks and one ?? (Looks to be red), all 3 are boys 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️we still have 4 to go. We are just thankful for live births this year, the last two years have been horribly sad. Pictures soon, as soon as the rain stops and I can get out without melting 🤣
