From 11am-2pm we’re hosting a fun kids event for ages 6-12. A safety lesson, riding games including an obstacle course and team games on horseback are just a few of the fun activities we have planned.

Camp horses are a breed in their own. They deserve all the credit and love for being patient while kids whom have never or barely rode learn to navigate how to use their hands, legs, body and voice while riding.
They need to be calm enough to not overreact when a rider is learning how to steer or squeeze with their legs because sometimes they might pull or kick too hard as they learn.
They need to be reactive enough to listen to lighter and gentle cues that are more accurate.
It’s no easy task and they of course all have their quirks but at the end of the day these horses are worth their weight in gold 💛

A few weeks off from a broken big toe and we’re back at it. Definitely over did it this past weekend but it was worth it. This week we’ve already kicked off our Level Up Camp and our weekly Mounted Shooting class can commence again now that I can walk.
Over the weekend the pups, Peep and I took a little trip up north to stay with our friends at B.R. Guest Horse Company. We had a blast shooting balloons with Minnesota Mounted Shooters Association where Peep and I took the Overall Overall for the day. Then we headed to Little's Performance Horses on Sunday to sort some cows. Peep and I have some learning to do but we enjoyed the beautiful facility, welcoming atmosphere and fresh cattle!

Summer Horse Camp 🕶️☀️
Today was packed full of TEAM games, painting on the horses and parents got to come watch their campers ride!
It was a great day!

Getting some ladies ready for some fun! They did so well tonight. If you asked them what learning takes they’d say a combination of perseverance, dedication, consistency, compassion and heart.
During summer camp the kids enjoyed a fun scavenger hunt… Bucket, our goat mascot, joined them!
Even with a broken big toe the farm is lookin good! I may be hobbling around but the work and fun never stop!
Had some great help taking care of fencing, putting hay out, all pastures are open, horses have been dewormed and the lawn got partially mowed.
