Does thinking about creating your training plan have you broken you down and giving up?

Do you often take the approach of let's try it and see what happens?

Are you and/or your dog frustrated for not hitting your previous goals?

All of these feelings are common for dog owners, including myself sometimes. We can be too close to the problem to see the solution and pulling in an outside view can really help us work out the details, creating a plan that is easy & fun to work through the steps to success.

I have several great templates that can help you figure out the best steps to take; checklists, tracking forms, worksheets, and shaping plans.

Message below if you want a free sample.

Azul & Belle had so much fun at Bow Wows & Books tonight!

Azul seemed to really enjoy the stories about the brave knight who didn't cheat and the puppy that went to school. Belle liked the book about farm animals with lots of sound effects.

The library is Azul's favorite place to go and visit with all his friends!

Do you think your dog would enjoy volunteering as a Therapy Dog?

If so, message me because I'm about to start some new group training!

Why is planning for success so important for dog training?

It's important to have a clear goal that you are hoping to achieve. For many of my clients, that goal is to improve household manners and leash manners. For my service dog clients, the goal is often for the dog to be confident & calm enough to work in any environment. My reactive dog owners often want to learn management skills while helping the dog be less reactive.

Goals can be general or more specific such as wanting to teach a dog to leave food on the counter alone. We need a clear goal before we start training.

A good plan helps us break down the goal into measurable levels. With levels we can work to hit smaller goals that lead to the bigger end goal. Sometimes these levels are puppy stage training, adolescent stage training, and modifying adult behaviors.

Progress reports all us to know if our training is moving in the right direction. I relied on these heavily during Belle's first year as I documented her service dog training.
While we do not want to focus on our mistakes too much, documenting them can help us to avoid repeating them again and again. A good plan often reduces our mistakes, making it easier to recover from past mistakes. And yes, I make mistakes too! Thankfully you can learn from my mistakes instead of learning the hard way!

Let me help you create a plan that works for you!

Are you working on teaching your Service Dog or Service Dog in Training new tasks?

Often SD Handlers need to enlist the help of a Trainer to teach their dog the tasks needed to mitigate the handler's disability. However a typical Trainer that does not specialize in Service Dogs, often lacks experience in teaching these skills. The Crazy2Calm Canine Coaches can help! All C2C Coaches are SD Handlers and have taught their dogs multiple tasks., added together we have years and years worth of experience. Why higher just one trainer when you can have access to multiple trainers through the Crazy2Calm Canine Coaches!

We have combined all our experience to create the TEAM Task Training Support Program to help SD Handlers to allow us to help all SD Handlers. We could easily charge $150 for this if we built as a class with specific modules. Instead we wanted to keep this affordable to all handlers, therefore have created the program as a Patreon Membership. For just $10 per month you can participate in the TEAM Task Training Support Program for as long as you like. While we suggest you plan on being a member for 6 months, you're welcome to drop at any time.

The TEAM Task Training Support Program is an evolving Support Program where we will be determining the tasks for each month based on the needs of the Members in the Program.

We have a Certified Behavior Consultant & 2 Pro Dog Trainers plus multiple handlers with the skills to teach just about any task a SD Handler could need. We have resources from the C2C Medical Alert Classes that we can add to the group if there is a need. Many of the C2C Canine Coaches use mobility devices including various types of chairs and walkers which provides us with a unique ability to help you modify training games in a way that is fits with your disability. Most of the Canine Coaches have taught various tasks with retrieval skills.

The Crazy2Calm Canine Coaches are excited to offer this new program and we hope you will join us!

Registration will be open through January 31st or until all spots are filled!

Happy New Year! Welcome to 2025!
In 2025, I will be expanding with more info following the Theme of the Months. That makes it the month to make sure we are "Planning For Success" in all aspects of life with our dogs. And that means creating a plan!

Make sure your plan is a S.M.A.R.T. Plan!
Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, & Timely

Make sure your plan has realistic expectations!
Realistic for your dog's age. Realistic for the environment your working in. Realistic for the timeline you anticipate.

Make sure your plan has accountability!
Keeping a training log can give you accountability with yourself. Working with a Canine Coach can give you accountability with another person.

Instead of making a New Year's resolution, make a promise to your dog to do more doggie things. Play with your dog! Hike...

Instead of making a New Year's resolution, make a promise to your dog to do more doggie things.

Play with your dog!
Hike with your dog!
Share treats with your dog!
Enjoy training your dog!
Slow down in nature with your dog!

Let me know if you need help creating a plan to have the best year ever with your dog.

Last chance! My December Special ends today!

Buy your first session Behavior Evaluation for $150 and you receive a 50% discount on an additional 6 session package. (Typically $300, but now only $150.))

That brings sessions down to just $25 per session! This is my best deal all year, so you won't see this again.

Comment below and I'll send you a link to schedule your Behavior Evaluation for $159.

Yooper Paws of Love!

Providing positive training for your 4 legged friends!

I would like to introduce myself to the communities of Vulcan, Norway, and Iron Mountain. My family recently relocated to the area a little over a year ago and I am currently training a puppy to be my Service Dog. I’m always looking for businesses, groups, and organizations that are willing to help me with public access training and in return I can offer training to your staff or group about working animals including service dogs, therapy dogs and ESA’s.

Meet Azul

The current puppy that I am training to be a Service Dog is Azul, a Husky/German Shepherd puppy. I’ve been working with him since he was 6 weeks old. The first few weeks were all about developing a bond with each other and learning how to read each other. Then we spent a whole ton of time working on creating great experiences for Azul during his critical socialization period. And we are just starting our formal training that will lead to becoming a Service Dog to provide medical alert & response.
