Welcome Home Wednesday! The video was cut short, we lost reception and blaming the frigid temperatures.

They’re all here, safe & sound with their Shiny New Lives underway. Brisk & windy day, so huge thanks to the drivers, Paul & our newest CO driver Geoff and to our amazing Hays Halftime Crew for braving the weather to Bring Rescues Home. It takes a truly incredible Rescue Village to do this work, every other week. Saving, healing, rehabilitating, advocating rescues, shelters and rescue groups; fosters; transporters; receiving rescues and shelters; adopters; loading and drop-off crews and all Angels & believers in all parts of their Freedom Journeys.

Derby and Darby!
These little princesses are only 11 weeks old (DOB 10-26-24) and ready for their new person or families! We will be adopting them separately but they are both adorable! Dad is a Cane Corso and mom is a Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever. They currently only 9 pounds, 9 pounds of pure preciousness! They have short hair and super soft coats. Playful fun, sweet, cuddly and just babies! They both have had a great upbringing full of love and now want to give so much love back to their new people- ready to be full CO dogs! He’s a handsome 2-3 year old Lab or Hound mix, a perfect size, around 50 pounds. He’s great with people after a proper introduction, loves other dogs, his toys, treats and walks. Mostly he loves hiking or running. Bucky is an excellent adventure buddy for an active person or family. He’s up to date with his vetting, neutered and microchipped…move in ready! First Welcome Home Wednesday of 2025! Big group with a full van from Arkansas and a full Faith coming from KC. Big Hope was able to get all the Freedom Riders in and home, with their Shiny New Lives ahead of them. 2 precious souls made their way from Denver to KC, with their forever families ready for them.

Lots of puppies, Goldens, Giants, Heelers and beautiful mixes…all home now, safe & sound. We’re so glad we were able to get the run in today without any road or weather issues, the stars lined up, again, for the pups in need!

We’re incredibly grateful for every person and group who made these Freedom Rides possible. The Artemis Project made it possible for the Arkansas pups and drove them all the way to Hays! Quite a long and cold drive…thank you!!! The other amazing drivers & crew: Kevin Wright and co-pilot Rich; Richard & Iesha; the fantastic folks in Hays, braving the cold to get our travelers drinks, walks, potty breaks, treats and love at Transport Halftime; the saving, healing and networking shelters and rescue groups; the receiving rescues, fosters and adopters; advocates and Angels every step and mile along the way.

Meet the gorgeous Turk! He is named Turk, because he has the most beautiful turquoise eyes that will melt you. Turk is 3 years old (DOB 01/18/2021) and is about 65 pounds of love. His DNA results show he is a Pitsky! Pitbull/Husky mix. He is sweet, energetic yet a calm good goofball of a boy. He loves his crate but he loves kids more, he is amazing with them! Probably better with older kids because he forgets his size sometimes but really loves all kids. He does great with other dogs and loves to play. NO cats! He is athletic and can jump a fence if left alone too long. He is great in the car and loves to be with his person. Such a sweet, sweet fella! Turk is current on all his vaccinations and is neutered. He is currently in a loving home in New Castle, CO, ready to meet his new family! LuckyDayRescue.org to apply

Last Welcome Home Wednesday of 2024! 17 pups and 1 cat; 5 pups
going right to their forever families and the cat reunited with her family…all just in time for the holidays.

It was wonderful to see our wonderful Hays Halftime crew, with their walks, treats, drinks and love and to finally meet KC driver, Paul in person! Thanks to all the drivers; sending rescues and shelters who do incredible work with rehabbing, networking and healing; fosters all around; receiving rescues, shelters and adopters; and every angel & advocate along the way.

We’re so grateful for the rescue village members who help make Freedom Journeys and Beautiful Second Chances possible, everyday, all year.

Happy Holidays; Merriest of Christmases and a wonderful new year. I’m excited for transporting our 10,000th rescue pet and many more in 2025.

Good evening. We’re officially at 24 more hours of the Hope for Paws Colorado Online Silent Auction. It closes at 8pm Mountain tomorrow, Sun 12/8. So many great items, perfect fot the holiday season. The funds raised will help us get a replacement Big Hope, a high capacity, fully equipped transport van.

A special Welcome Home Wednesday! Beautiful group of Pyrs, Boxers, Labbies, German Shepherd, and awesome mixes, all safe & sound in time for the holidays. We had the absolute privilege to hand 4 amazing pups directly to their forever families. Thanks to everyone who made these Beautiful Second Chances possible!

With heavy hearts full of sadness, but also full of pride and blessings over the loss of our dear rescue friend, Gail Tolleson. Sadness due to the loss, but pride and blessings to have known this incredible, big hearted, rescue loving Lady and having had her in our lives. We had the privilege of transporting some of the last dogs she saved, Coconut, Hazel and so appropriate, Angel.
We know you’re with your beloved John and can only imagine the giant parade of wagging tails who welcomed you home. We’re all better because of the amazing work you did for so many years. 🌈💕🐾
