🚨Update on Morgan! Please share🚨

First off, I’m so sorry that it has taken so long to update everyone after Morgan’s CT scan. We didn’t find out too terribly much from the CT scan, but we do know that she has a lot of inflammation in her inner ear. We just don’t have any idea what is causing that inflammation! It could be bacterial, viral, or idiopathic.

On Tuesday Morgan will go back to the vet for a procedure called Ventral Bulla Osteotomy. They will surgically go in and remove material from her middle ear as well as take cultures to find out what kind of infection we’ve been trying to fight for so long. From there, we will move forward with treatment based on whatever the culture tells us.

This procedure will cost between $1,200-$1,400, but we have been through this whole journey with this sweet girl and she is so worth it!

We know we’ve asked a lot from our community lately, and we are so grateful for you all. We have to get Morgan over the finish line so she can get the forever she deserves.

This is Pope and he came to us after being surrendered to the Yadkin County Shelter! Pope is not just completely blind, but he also has a head tilt that is concerning! We will be doing a toxoplasmosis screening soon, but we need to raise about $600 to cover the cost!

Please help us help Pope!

Meet Alissa!
Alissa is one of our afternoon Cat Wranglers with a big smile and a heart of gold for the cats. Alissa's favorite part of wrangling at Right Meow is working with all of our precious kitties. Seeing the cats grow and flourish into what they were meant to be is what makes her heart full. Alissa also enjoys connecting with fellow cat lovers. She says seeing people love cats as much as she does makes her day. She is glad to be a part of making their experience a great one.

On a day off, Alissa likes to spend time with her own two cats, family, and friends or shopping at Target or TJ Maxx.

Alissa has two cats of her own, Freya (pictured) and Remi. They are her whole world and have turned her into a complete cat lady. Freya is a sweet and sassy kitty who loves to hunt her toys and cuddles as she pleases. Remi is a little chunk of a tuxedo cat who always screams at you when she wants attention or food! They are both big love bugs.

(We will add Alissa recently became a "Cat Aunt" to Right Meow alumn "Monty")

Alissa's favorite drink at Right Meow is a coconut milk tea with boba.

Come enjoy Alissa's favorite drink this week at Right Meow Cat Cafe for 30% OFF with CODE: ALISSA, AND TELL HER THANK YOU FOR ALL SHE DOES.

Feline Fact Friday ...

Did you know? ... ‼️Kittens as young as 4 months of age can get pregnant, have kittens at 6 months of age (when they're still a kitten themselves), and then have kittens every 9 weeks after that. 😳

✅️ This is why it's so important to spay/neuter a community cat immediately because the number of outdoor cats can get out of control VERY quickly!!!

⚠️ Kittens born in the spring can have their own litters by fall.

❤️ Spaying, neutering, vaccinating, and ear tipping community cats helps stabilize the colony, ends suffering, and prevents the births of more unowned, outdoor cats.

Meet Midnight, a sleek shadow kitty with a heart of gold. True to his name, he’s as black as the night sky, with eyes that twinkle like stars. Midnight might play it cool at first, quietly observing from a safe distance, but give him a little time and a lot of love, and he’ll transform into a certified lap kitty extraordinaire. Whether he’s curling up for snuggles or purring softly to let you know you’ve won him over, Midnight is the perfect companion for anyone looking to add a little mystery and a lot of warmth to their life.

Midnight is currently fostered by Right Meow Cat Cafe, so please fill out an application for instructions on how to schedule a meet up with him! https://www.facilitaterescue.org/adoption-application

Our Story

Facilitate Rescue, Inc. is a small, all volunteer rescue founded in 2017 and dedicated to helping the cats and kittens who have found themselves at the Harnett County Animal Shelter. As cat lovers, these volunteers were heartbroken about the lack of rescue help for the cats in this rural area and have banded together to make a difference in the number of adoptable kittens and cats being euthanized at the shelter. It is also our mission to educate the community about the importance of spay/neuter and trap-and-release programs.

The volunteers of Facilitate Rescue pull cats from the shelter and provide them with temporary housing (foster care), socialization and vet care until they are adopted or transported to one of our out-of-state rescue partners where they may have more adoption exposure. Volunteers are always welcome and are needed to foster and transport cats!
