2024 -2025 Region 6 Dog of the Year points have been updated!

February brings about several amateur and open field trials in Region 6, mark your calendars to attend one or more of these events.
The Shady Grove trial was originally scheduled for January 8 - 9, 2025 but due to winter weather has been rescheduled to start Feb. 18, 2025.

Saturday night after the running there will be an Owner/Handler Dinner honoring the 2024 Champion, Nosam's Sweetwater (now deceased), and is sponsored by Larry and Piper Huffman.

We would like to thank Ed Liermann and Dr. Allen Dunbar for travelling from Wisconsin to sit in the judicial saddle. Due to a horse riding accident, Scott Little replaced Dr. Dunbar during the 5th brace of the championship. We wish Dr. Dunbar a speedy recovery.

Next up in Region 6 are two Open All-Age and and Derby Classics field trials. The rescheduled American Quail Classic (starting Jan. 28th) which draws this Sunday night, January 26th and the Alabama Open All- Age & Derby Classic which draws on Wednesday, January 29th.

Just a friendly reminder that the reschedule date for the American Quail Classic Open All-Age and Derby is January 28th - 31st. The drawing will be held on Sunday, January 26th at 7 pm. Please call or text Lisa Little with your entries. As previously noted Shane Duckworth will be replacing Lefty Henry as judge due to Lefty’s health issues.

The rescheduled date of the American Quail Classic Open All-Age and Derby has been set for January 28 - 31, 2025. Derby stake will only be run if time permits and does not interfere with the start of the Alabama Open All-Age which has a start date of Saturday, February 1, 2025. Drawing will be held on Sunday, January 26th, at 7 pm. All other particulars remain the same as of this date.
