Have you ever had to put a tarp on a horse because they have passed? I know many of you have but for me it’s gut wrenching every time. It hurt me so deeply that I wanted to puke but at the same time she was in a beautiful place now and that was all the I could hold onto. Liberty passed due to natural causes.

I reached down to touch her face. Tell her goodbye but all I could do was see the images of when she arrived here, I remember her having one of the most beautiful babies I’ve ever seen. She was such a good mother. Liberty had trust issues, but no issue with me at all. She got d much better with time. We were friends and I will miss her 💛. She was in her mid 20s and I would like to hope that she had a good life with us. It still hurts my heart, but I feel blessed to have known her.

Our weather is always crazy and it is perfect for colic. Anytime you have temps bounce from warm to cold your horses will most likely back off of their water intake. Salt is your friend!

I get asked often how much salt do we add to feed so I attached a video to show how we prep food with salt. Please applaud my helpers, they are also quality control in the barn!😁
