Peja Portuguese Water Dogs was established in 1986 when Peggy Thomas acquired her first PWD, Brisa. We are dedicated to preserving and celebrating the Portuguese Water Dog.

We do not operate a large-scale breeding operation. Our PWDs live in our homes with us and their puppies (average approximately one litter every three years or so) are born and raised in our homes or in the home of our trusted co-owners.

Peggy's PWDs and she have enjoyed many dog activities and meeting PWD people from different parts of the country. They have traveled to the East and West coasts and in the Midwest for the Portuguese Water Dog Club of America and Portuguese Water Dog Regional Club sponsored specialty shows and activities.
