Steve got his summer hair cut yesterday. See our story for the final results. He was absolutely not happy about it. 😆

Pasture improvement project is getting underway. Taking out the old shade sails and replaced them with a permanent structure that will be raised up and shade walls on both the east and west sides. New pasture fencing is next to expand the space for them and allow us to better manage our pasture.

Being in the grind on a daily basis (livestock care, fruit tree care/maintenance, turning bnbs, visiting with guests, and running two other businesses) I sometimes forget to take a moment and see where the heck I am. A lot of folks always ask if it is weird having strangers around all of the time. I have honestly loved having bnbs on our farm.

We have met some of the most fascinating people. Plus who in the heck are we building this for? Ourselves? We love sharing our journey and the fruits of our labor. Our farm isn’t an investment for ourselves, it is a physical manifestation of who Anthony and I are. We don’t “do the minimum” that is not what life is supposed to be. We do the maximum our aging bodies allow us to at every turn. Why? Because it is important to us to leave the world a better place than we found it. Not just existing in it. This is the American way, this is the American dream lived.

I have often times joke my 🪦 grave stone will be engraved with “⭐️ 1 star…. He was just ok”. 😅

Our coffee bar is feeling a little more complete with the painting we got from . Now all we need is a green apron for Anthony to wear shirtless to make me lattes in the morning. 🤣🤣
