Hello all!

I'm posting a fundraiser for a small local shelter I am volunteering for.

It was started a few years ago by Ashlynn Boyce, who was a high school student at the time. It's now grown to nearly 150 volunteers, saving tons of kitties every year, and has a storefront on Chicago and Main.

Hi All -

Since I started Cozy Cats and Daily Dogs, I've gotten to know many organizations in the animal care space here on the North Shore. We're a close knit and collaborative community that will grow together to meet the needs of local pets and their families.

I am excited to introduce you to the newest member of that community - Paws and Claws Chicago Recuse - located right here in Evanston. In just over a year, they have built an incredible non-profit animal rescue that has found "forever homes" for almost 300 animals locally.

On Saturday, September 25, they Paws and Claws is hosting its first ever event - Rally for Rescue. Full details and registration information can be found below.

It looks like it is going to be a lot of fun for animal lovers and families. There will be adoptable animals there to pet and take pictures with, an ice cream truck and bagels, a balloon artist, and lots of other fun festivities. Cozy Cats and Daily Dogs clients can sign up at the special $10 "Paw Print Club Member" rate. You can participate either virtually or in-person at the family friendly event by signing up at pawsandclawschicagorescue.org/rally.

Trusted petsitting business (mostly cats) seeks reliable, honest, ethical, experienced pet lovers for supplemental income. You'll be visiting pets in homes around Evanston/Wilmette/Winnetka. You'll get freedom, unconditional love, a cool boss and coworkers, and headbutts! Bonus if you have shots, pills, gels/med experience. Car a plus but not required. Over 21. Need to have smartphone or iPhone and be super-responsive to communication to be a good fit for us.

This is a newer, small shelter in Evanston that we support! Maureen

This week we announced our Rally for Rescues— an in-person or virtual event, your choice— that will raise money for kittens like Otis.

Otis paid a visit to our vet yesterday. He certainly has the odds stacked against him. He most likely has a chronic upper respiratory infection, and may have hydrocephalus. He’s also developmentally very far behind his siblings and he’s the weight of an average five week old kitten. On top of all of this at 11 weeks old he has never touched any solid food willing. The only thing he will consume is formula or Ellie and Delilah’s milk.

We’ll have more answers about next steps, and his health in a few weeks after we see how he responds to this new course of treatment. Please send our little guy good thoughts and the urge to finally try one of the hundreds of foods we have offered him.
