Finally.

An urgent dog that is actually a “Dayna dog.”

The urgent ones often tend to be unattractive females that will utilize a foster spot forever because when they’re officially healthy, they’re just bossy bi***es that aren’t that cute. Almost dead dogs are way more attractive.

I’m happy about this pull. Let’s hope he’s not a nightmare. I’m praying for a name change as well. The current one sucks.

*****WARNING GRAPHIC PHOTOS******

Two urgent pulls yesterday. The first one showed up at Chicago Animal Care and Control on 6/4 and looked in need of medical care. He was in rough shape but had overall superficial wounds.

I sent an irrational hold (because he is cute as s**t) but he was chipped, and his owner picked him up. F**k that guy.

8 days later he came in as an owner surrender, and his condition is absolutely disgusting. So much worse than 8 days ago. There’s a special place in hell for the people responsible for these injuries. He is hospitalized at Naperville Animal Hospital and is receiving the medical care he needs.

I’m going to start being less reliable.

Whenever Sia contacts me, there’s usually a level of urgency with the situation. It’s almost as if Sia knows that I will respond quickly. Even if I don’t want to.

I don’t think I had even processed what was happening, before I got a text about transport to our vet. It was essentially all setup. Didn’t even need me.

This little girl isn’t in great shape but she’s been delivered to our vet, and we have high hopes.

We pulled dogs.

One named Ranger Rick or some s**t like that (we pulled him yesterday), and one named Kintsugi which is apparently broken pottery. Both dogs are currently hospitalized and receiving medical care with our friends at Naperville Animal Hospital.

I am done for the day! Don’t call, text, email, or message us. No carrier pigeons either.

Ranger Rick is now, Beau. That other dog better have a name change too.

Apparently I’ve leveled up on my own fu**ery, and I’m doing Sia’s math on myself.

I think this is the first time I’ve ever said this before…but today we’re coming in hot…with 8 mother fu***ng pulls.

I’m really fu***ng behind so here’s a recap.

1. We somehow accidentally pulled a
shih tzu (of sorts) from CACC. Yep. You read that right. Don’t worry though, we got rid of it at warp speed.

2. We pulled what appears to be a maniac puppy from CACC. Initially I wanted to ditch this puppy because he screamed like a howler monkey. So, I conned some of my favorite puppy fosters to take him, and apparently he’s a psychopath. Hates dogs, even puppies. And he’s a puppy. Obviously this seems weird as s**t. But if anyone was going to end up with this dog, it makes total sense it would be us. His name is Jose, on account of how much booze our fosters will be consuming.

3. We also welcomed Bibi, from Bellwood Stray Crew and so far I don’t think we have any negative things to say about her. In due time.

4. CACC’s, Old Timer. He doesn’t have a new name yet, and he’s too new to complain about so we’ll regroup when we know all the things that are wrong with him.

Let’s open some fu***ng DHD kennels!

We’d love to provide even a little bit of relief at CACC right now.

Our DHD kennels have a mix/match of dogs. Half the kennels are filled with dogs I specifically chose (the better dogs), and the other half is filled with dogs that were chosen by others, and now I look at them every day. It’s my favorite.

Ideally, I’d love the ones I didn’t pick to leave first. But beggars can’t be choosers so let’s just open the damn kennels. I’m also not gonna tell you which I like the most.

Next up: Pewter. He’s not black. He’s more attractive than a black pit bull but he’s been at CACC for a min or two as well, so I just assume he’s fu**ed in the head.
