I love watching my guests drive up.
Stormie and I often sit out on the front porch and watch for our friends to arrive. If our friends aren’t sticking their heads out, we can see their excitement inside the cars and sometimes we can HEAR their excitement. It warms my heart to know they like coming to visit and I’m sure it warms their humans’ hearts too. And Stormie usually beats me to them to welcome them to our home. Dogs are pretty amazing and smarter than we could ever imagine. ♥️

The picture may not say much but the story will make you laugh. I was cleaning under my entertainment center and found two balls under it. The dogs were running in and out so I threw one of the balls out the door for them to chase. I threw the ball right as Henry, the big doodle, was running in. The ball hit him square between the eyes and bounced back into the house. Henry didn’t skip a beat though. He ran in, grabbed the ball and ran back outside. Good thing I didn’t throw the other one…it was a softball 🤣😂😆 Never a dull moment around here.

Gidget and Gizmo let loose of pinned up energy while Belle looks on as it rains. Between fireworks and storms, this has been a week of just figuring things out. Whew…now I have wet dogs hahaha. The rain is nice though. We needed it and it will make for a good nap after I finish up.

This trio became family yesterday. Some may remember past posts of Jax, the white schnauzer. His “mom” met a nice fella who had the big doodle. His name is Henry. They got engaged and brought Lily into the mix. The big wedding was yesterday so now they’re officially family. They’ll be staying with me while their newly-wedded humans go on their honeymoon. I’m so excited for Jax’s “momma,” and for Jax. 🥂

My little 18 year old friend that I shared last week left her humans’ sides yesterday. I’m so glad I got to spend some time with her before she said “Goodbye.” Thought of her humans today when I saw this sweet sunflower in another client’s garden. Sending hugs.

I saw this beagle trio yesterday while their “dad” had a little outpatient procedure. They usually come and stay with me and my pack when their humans travel so they didn’t understand why I didn’t take them home with me yesterday. 🤷🏼‍♀️😉

My friend Lisa is an awesome pet photographer and now she’s mobile! I told her we need to plan an event 🤔😉

A different experience in pet photography...a mobile studio! I can photograph your pet in a studio setting without you having to load up and drive your dog/cat to another location, I can come to your home or office!

In light of my earlier post, this is a part of my job that is hard. I share sunflowers when critters leaves their humans’ sides. This week, two very special girls passed away. One was 17 and I had known her for a very long time. The other was just about 10, but cancer came in and took her earlier than expected. Both left special memories. Thinking about these two families tonight and thankful to them for sharing these two girls with me.

Being a part of a critter’s life as they grow older is a bittersweet part of my job. Stormee and I have known each other a long time. She is 18 now and I think I’ve known her for about 8 of those years and for all of those years, Stormee didn’t really like for me to hold her. She doesn’t mind it so much now and I love being able to love on her more. 💖
