🌟 Welcome Dr. Shane Jakober to Parkway Animal Center! 🌟

🐾 We are thrilled to introduce our newest addition to the Parkway team, Dr. Shane Jakober! 🐾

Dogs have always held a special place in Dr. Jakober's heart, having been a cherished part of her family since childhood. Her journey into veterinary medicine began with a passion instilled by her mom, who foresaw her future as a veterinarian long before she even knew what that meant. Fast forward to today, and Dr. Jakober brings a wealth of experience and compassion to our team.

🏫 A graduate of UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 2010, Dr. Jakober's dedication to animal care took her on a journey that included a yearlong internship in equine medicine and surgery in Southern California. Her diverse experience in a mixed animal practice showcased her commitment to serving a variety of animals, from horses to dogs, goats, sheep, cattle, and pigs.

🌈 Returning to Northern California in 2013, Dr. Jakober settled in Woodland, where she transitioned to focusing on dogs and cats, specializing in preventative healthcare. Her passion for creating fear-free veterinary experiences led her to become fear-free certified in 2023, ensuring that every visit is as stress-free as possible for our furry friends.

🎉 Join us in welcoming Dr. Jakober to Parkway! 🎉🐾

Car safety features are designed for humans, not animals, so there's a real risk for dogs to get serious injuries without the proper protection. Using a dog harness can help to minimize force along the neck in the event of a sudden change of speed. Keeping your dog safely harnessed also prevents them from possibly causing an accident if they get curious and distract you while driving. Always attach on the dog's body.
