eactivity and aggression. Our training methods are based on the LIMA Principle (Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive). Our focus on building a strong relationship between each dog & his or her family, and using simple, universal learning principles is proven to help transform problem bad habits into good behaviors, and create lifelong, joyful companionship! Michelle is also a licensed Family Paws Parent Educator for the Dogs & Storks and Dogs & Toddlers programs, a Mentor Trainer for Animal Behavior College, an approved AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Evaluator, a Past President of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers, and a member of the Association of Professional Humane Educators. She is a writer, having published numerous articles relating to dog training and behavior, and is featured in the books: Top Tips from Top Trainers (©2010 TFH Publications) and The Dog Trainer's Resource, The APDT Chronicle of the Dog Collection (©2006 Dogwise); and also an occasional blogger on Dog Star Daily. Michelle is also a popular public speaker, offering numerous seminars and workshops for both dog owners, and dog trainers. One Year Today, I received a call at 7:30 in the morning to tell me that my biopsy was positive for cancer. The next few days were a whirlwind of doctors appointments, diagnostic tests, and soul-searching. We are 1 year in & have another 6 months or so of treatments for Cancer, and a lifetime of learning to live with Adrenal Insufficiency. I am so grateful to my care teams and my family. We are coming up on a year since my diagnosis of Triple Negative Breast Cancer, and I while I am able to do a consult here and there, my income has been greatly impacted. And, my van died this week.
