Our friends and fosters Dasher (https://www.westportwasa.org/adopt/available-dogs/) and puppy Linguini share a common story - abandoned in CT. Dasher was found on the side of a highway and Linguini was pulled from a dumpster. They also share in their ability to trust and love again. Most importantly, they now share an incredible foster home and have become cuddle and play friends. A difference in size, a difference in age (Dasher is a year and Linguini is 8 weeks old) but very much alike in that they are sweet pups and both need to find new forever and loving homes. Poppy is ready for her close up - and forever home. She comes to WASA from Norwalk Animal Control after being abandoned. Today she received a WASA-funded grooming with Muddy Paws mobile grooming. She is up to date on her vet care and is approximately 1 1/2 years of age. Poppy is a fan of people of all ages and greatly enjoys the company of other dogs. This darling girl appears to be housebroken and enjoys car rides. For additional info about Poppy and how to adopt (application, meet and greet and home visit) please contact WASA by calling 203 557 0361 or by sending an email to [email protected]. COURTESY POST:

For additional information about these locally-rescued kittens, please use the contact number on the flyer to contact the kittens’ - and mama cat’s - foster. Personal and vet references required. Meet and greets will be scheduled upon approval. Each kitten is up to date on vaccines, spay/neuter (this week) and FIV testing.

These five lovely 14-week old kittens - four little boys and one little girl - have been carefully and thoroughly vetted and lovingly fostered. They are well socialized and ready to enhance your life - each with their own personality:

Blue
A little mama’s boy with a big heart — energetic and playful, but always ready to curl up for cuddles in between adventures. Perfect for someone who wants a balance of fun and affection.

Red
The thoughtful one of the bunch. Sweet, mature, and independent, Red enjoys his own quiet playtime but also loves joining his siblings. He melts for neck scratches and would thrive with someone who appreciates his gentle spirit.

Orange
A calm and endearing companion. Orange is playful yet mellow, happiest when receiving back pets and sharing quiet moments. Ideal for someone looking for a more laid-back but loving kitten.

Yellow
The life of the party. Energetic and playful, Yellow loves zooming around but always circles back for cuddles, making him both lively and affectionate. A great fit for an active home that still loves snuggle breaks.

Green
The baby sister — small but mighty. Gentle, playful, and full of personality, Green shines with her sweet eye contact (she truly smiles with her eyes). She’ll win over anyone who wants a kitten with both s***k and tenderness.

WASA would like to thank the amazing young women - and their parents - that organized to form the Girls on the Run at Kings Highway School. When it comes to supporting dog rescue in their own back yard, they don’t just walk the walk - they run the walk! They raised $228 for WASA through their bake sale and lemonade stand. This week they stopped by Westport Animal Control to meet some of the dogs, including Poppy (https://www.westportwasa.org/adopt/available-dogs/), that will benefit from their kindness and hard work. Each dedicated runner was presented with a WASA dog as a thank you from the WASA volunteers.
