I am very happy to finally be able to offer a service that is very important to me. In-home veterinary care is now available to the animals that teach us so much and allow us to be better people and families. My sons have started to be part of the community and I felt the need to be able to give to the community in the way that I best know how, as a veterinarian. My hope is to become a veterinaria

n that you can call and consult or have me come over when you feel that life is too busy to go the clinic or when you feel that your animal is so much happier and safer at home. I want to be available to chat (or text) through problems. And most of all, I want to be your small town local vet that you and your dogs and cats and count on.

I have been helping the Hop Fire Department learn basic life saving skills for working canines injured while on duty. This is definitely a different feel from working with companion dogs to working with these athletic bite workers. Kodak is clearly good at his job and trusts his officer!

There has been a rabies outbreak in VT in the past year and this woodchuck in the past few days here in MA. This post is not aimed as a scare tactic because it doesn't take much to be an outbreak when rabies is so rare (because of great vaccine protocols). So the absolute numbers aren't huge, but the uptick is definitely unnerving. This is more of a reminder to keep rabies in mind when you see a wild animal acting inappropriately, especially when they are nighttime animals out during the day.

The city has detailed when the woodchuck was around the ice cream parlor, and when visitors may have been exposed.
