This talented pup is learning to switch sides - a skill for service dogs supporting veterans with PTSD. Onyx is part of our collaboration with FAU's C-P.A.W.W. program (Canines Providing Assistance to Wounded Warriors), where we train dogs to become life-changing companions for veterans.

At Happy with Dogs, we work with C-P.A.W.W. to provide adoption and specialized training services. Our program helps veterans with PTSD train their own service dogs, ESA's or pet companions who foster healing and independence.

Skills like side-switching allow service dogs to:
Maintain optimal positioning in different environments
Provide physical support on either side
Navigate crowded spaces more easily
Block humans from crowding

By mastering these techniques, Onyx is on the path to becoming an extraordinary support system for a veteran in need.
