Well, a routine visit to the Riverside Shelter to register her dog turned into a rescue of 2 feline families for our foster, Lucille! She saw a woman approaching the shelter with a cage containing 5 cats. One (pregnant) mama and her 4 kittens who are approximately 3-4 months old. Lucille being Lucille told the woman that the cats would likely be euthanized and the woman’s response was she had no choice. We all have a choice!

Lucille brought this family home and they are now being cared for by Lucille and our rescue, Pawsitive Tails To Remember. Mama is pregnant so we are facing additional kittens in the very near future!

We’ve named them Clover (mom), Cleo and Ava (girls) and Jazz and Mango (boys).

Please welcome them all to the PTR FAMILY!

We could use some h4lp to get them all spayed and neutered and to care for mama Clover and he upcoming birth of new babies! It’s a lot of little beings to care for!

Elliott is 1 years old, he weighs 11 lbs and he is a long haired Tibetan Spaniel with a gorgeous silky red/russet coat with with white markings. Elliott is house broken to a schedule and he is completely crate trained. This sweet little guy was overlooked for 6 weeks in the shelter due to his anxiety and stress and because of that, he had no interest, until we saw him and we quickly made the decision to spring him from the shelter! Oh my gosh, we are so happy we did since he is literally the perfect little dog with no behavioral issues whatsoever.

Please open up your heart and home for this precious boy. He is sweet, playful, he knows his name and he wants to please his owner. We are requesting NO NAME CHANGE. Elliott is also little dog and cat friendly, and he is current on vaccines, neutered and microchipped.

Will you be Elliott’s new family? He will fit into any type of household, but we would prefer that there be another small dog in the home as a companion.

ADOPTED 🎊🎉🎊🎉. Oh my gosh! We have an exciting adoption to announce today! ♥️ we rescued Daisy from IVHS on March 7, 2022; nearly 3 years ago! Daisy was completely terrified of everything and it took her a very long time to trust Lucille and Marc and to assimilate into their household. Her fosters have worked tirelessly to gain Daisy’s trust and to show her that she can love people and she eventually learned to be a normal dog.

We’ve had Daisy listed for a long time now, and no one showed any interest in her. We had resigned ourselves to the fact that she may live with her fosters for the rest of her life instead of getting her own forever home. While that would be OK, our goal is to find a loving home for each and every animal so that they have their own family!

We received an unexpected email and application from a couple who formerly lived in CA, but have since moved to AZ. They are in Riverside visiting their daughter and came to meet Daisy today for a very impromptu meet and greet. They are retired, they just lost their beloved Chihuahua and were looking at both Daisy and another dog in the area. Having met Daisy today and knowing that she will be a bit shy and reserved until she gets to know them, they made the decision to give Daisy a forever home. The best news is that they are also adopting the other dog they were looking at so Daisy will have a companion in the home!

Today was a joyful, yet sad day for her fosters as they said good bye to this sweet little girl. Daisy’s new family will love and spoil her and she will continue to thrive in their care.

Happy new life Daisy Mae - you are forever loved by your rescue family. ♥️♥️♥️♥️

As always, a huge thank you to Lucille and Marc for giving Daisy the love, care and time necessary to heal and to trust again! You rock!

Adopted 🎊🎉🎊🎊 Our sweet siblings Sawyer and his sister Sage found their forever home and mom today!

These two kittens were rescue only at the shelter because they both had severe Giardia! Their skin was raw, burned and bleeding from the nonstop liquid pouring out of them! Their foster mom, Lucille, literally worked miracles with these two kittens. Their legs had to be wrapped to protect them from scalding worse than they already were; she would bathe them, and spend hours brushing their fur, which was filthy, matted, flea infested, and falling out in places. She nursed them back to health, restored their beautiful coats to what you see in the photos today these kittens are so lucky to have been in her care! Lucille takes the broken and turns them into loving and healthy animals. So grateful to have her expertise, non-stop love for any living creature and willingness to take on the worst of the worst.

Happy new lives Sawyer and Sage! We love you 🥰 ♥️

We have 3 cats and 1 dog who need surgeries!

Emma - Frenchie has a hematoma on her ear which will need to be surgically repaired. Approximate cost is $300 - $1200

3 cats with Stomatitis which requires full mouth extractions. Estimate is $1300 per cat for a total of $3900. I have a $1000 grant towards this cost leaving us $2900 short.

We need donations to cover this vetting. The cats are the most urgent.

We need to raise $3900 very quickly! The cats with stomatitis cannot eat and are rapidly losing weight.

Our 3 cats are Brooklyn, Bowie and Jagger.

Please meet our beautiful Brooklyn who is just under 2 years old and she is the last of our Riverside Parking Lot Rescue cats/kittens. She is fully vetted and was all set to find her forever home when disaster struck and she was diagnosed with stomatitis. This is a horrible and devastating disease and obviously, she could not be placed into a new home and she is still with her foster parents. Our vet has recommended a full mouth tooth extraction surgery which will give her some protection against future life threatening infections.

Stomatitis in cats is a complex, painful, and frustrating disease that causes severe inflammation of the entire mouth, including the gum tissue around the teeth and mucous membranes. The first symptom of feline stomatitis is a foul odor coming from the mouth, accompanied by excessive salivation/drooling, they stop grooming themselves as much and their coats become unkempt. Brooklyn’s top tooth is now sideways in her mouth and we can no longer put off having her teeth removed. Brooklyn’s cries from hunger are gut wrenching but her mouth it too painful for her to eat and it’s absolutely heartbreaking to hear her cry for food.

Please keep Brooklyn in your thoughts and prayers, and if you can, consider giving a much-needed donation to this fundraiser. No amount is too small. Thank you for your kindness and support!

P.S. We’ve included some pictures of Brooklyn before this horrible disease. She has a vet appointment tomorrow am and we will know more then!

Welcome Holly 💖💖💖 to the PTR family! One of 27 dogs confiscated in September 2024; she spent almost 5 months at the Devore Shelter as evidence. The 27 dogs were released for adoption/rescue yesterday and we picked her up this morning from Devore. Her paws and hind end are stained with f***s and urine and she stinks to the high heavens, but she’s adorable (very scared) and we are thrilled to have her.

Holly is being fostered by Lucille and Marc in Riverside, CA. Thank you to Eugenia K for finding us a transporter on short notice since our regular transporter is out of town.

Welcome Hope 💖💖💖 to the PTR family!

Hope is 15 yrs old and was rescued from the Inland Valley Humane Society and she is adorable. She came into the shelter a hot mess; they spayed her, removed 2 mammary tumors, removed all of her loose teeth and started treatment for an ulcer on her eye. She will stay with her forever foster, Kimberly in Calabasas for the remainder of her life. For now, she’s sleeping a lot which is normal after shelter life and surgery but she’s quiet and calm and she fits right in.

PAWSITIVE TAILS WITHOUT BORDERS

Animals know no borders. The dog and cat overpopulation issue plague both sides of the US and Mexico border. STDs are diseases endemic in the border towns of Mexico and the US. PTR is committed to making investment in spay/neuter clinics on both sides of the border, assist on a case by case basis with the medical cancer treatments of dogs and cats who have been exposed to these diseases due to lack of spay and neutering. We have provided food, nutritional supplements and basic needs for several dogs in the Tijuana area, who later come to foster in the US as we seek long term loving homes for them under PTR's umbrella.
