A few years ago, I received a call from someone looking for a pet sitter. The catch was they had a dog that was known to be aggressive to people. I decided to give it a shot. Several visits of just talking to the dog between a gate, then several more of taking her for walks, finally led to the first few solo visits. We built an amazing relationship. She truly started to trust me. She got to the point where she would let me pet her then she started cuddling with me. I was finally in her pack. Today, I got the heartbreaking news that she will no longer be with us. I treat each pet as if they are my own, but losing her hits a little different. I want to thank her family for letting me get to know her. She is truly going to be missed. Rest easy sweetheart.

What a great two weeks it has been. Had some of the cutest faces begging for pets. I was lucky enough to spend the night for a whole week with one doggie pack. Don’t forget to reach out if you’re planning your next vacation, or even if you just need a daily visit while you’re stuck at work.

As a pet sitter everyone’s pets are priority, but sometimes your own pets interfere. I want to thank the clients out there that understand the importance of the pet sitter’s own pets. Tonight, I spend 2 hours at the vet with my girl. Thankfully I had a very understanding client who had someone who was willing to help me out in a time of need. My girl is stable for now, but on a strict diet with several medications. Thank you for all who were understanding and helped. Now, time to cuddle with some pups while my cat has a close eye watching her at home.
