Molti ti apprezzano, ti ammirano e ti amano. Ricorda che essere felici non è avere un cielo senza tempesta, una strada senza incidenti, un lavoro senza fatica, relazioni senza delusioni.

"Essere felici è smettere di sentirsi una vittima e diventare autore del proprio destino. È attraversare i deserti, ma essere in grado di trovare un'oasi nel profondo dell'anima. Happy equinox! Today marks the beginning of the fall season for the Northern Hemisphere. This year’s autumnal equinox (for the Northern Hemisphere) or spring equinox (for the Southern Hemisphere) occurred on Sept. 23 at 2:50 AM Eastern.

The Earth orbits the sun at an angle, and for most of the year, the Earth’s axis is tilted either toward or away from the sun. During the equinox, however, the Earth’s axis and its orbit line up so that both hemispheres get an equal amount of sunlight.

Downtown Beaufort pre- hurricane this afternoon- few boats, few cars and visitors.

We are expecting 40 mph winds with 55 mph gusts. But 4-8” of rain probably will cause loss of power. It’s now still and hot, humidity 90 percent- you could cut it with a knife!

Possible storm surge 6 feet so this Front Street would flood. Hard rain has just begun- 8:30 pm EDT.

I’ve been cooking so I’ll have things to eat without heat!

Sweet potato greens- who knew? So nutritious!

Have you tried sweet potato greens yet? They're comparable in nutrient density to spinach and can be treated similarly. Our favorite way to eat them is as a simple sauté with olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper. They are an abundant summer green that contain calcium, iron, carotene, vitamin c, vitamin e, vitamin k, vitamin b, zinc, and protein - they are a power house! If you don't want to cook them, you can dry them and powder them to add to your food or smoothies. In any case, we think you should give them a try. And today's a great time to come and get them at at 220 lorax lane under the solar panels! 😎
