UPDATE (Nov 9): I have a new foster secured for Maiden and Damien together. So, it's not as urgent now to find them forever homes by this weekend. I've had a few inquiries from people far away. I really prefer to keep them local so that if it doesn't work out, I can easily get them back. I made a promise to their dad that I would make sure they are cared for and will do everything in my power to make sure I keep my promise. I will only consider a long distance adoption if it is someone I personally know and trust. NASHVILLE, TN - PLEASE SHARE! I can't believe I haven't gotten a single inquiry for this sweet girl 😢 Seriously, she's an awesome dog! MAIDEN is only 10 and still has several good years of love and loyalty to give. She laid for 5hrs with her dad and was so protective over him that she wouldn't let the EMTs work on him, so his neighbor had to put her in the backyard. Sadly, that was the last time she saw him and now he's passed away and is never coming home. 💔😭 She has been through so much already and now she is losing her foster home in a week.
She has lived her whole life with a very passively submissive dog brother and cat brother, so she can either be an only pet or with a dog-friendly cat and/or a submissive dog that won't mind her stealing a treat or food from him or gruffing at him if he gets too close to her person. Once she bonds with you, you are hers! She has never been around children, so she needs a home without small children. She is a very fun and quirky dog, weighing approximately 40lbs, was at the vet in June and received all of her shots, tested negative for heartworm and had a dental. She does have arthritis in her knee which is managed with affordable pain meds and supplements and a short walk or two every day. She truly is a very low maintenance dog and

Meet Damian, Maiden and their kitty brother Rere. They are all in need of senior vet care. Their dad has been having serious health issues and in the hospital for a few months and will have a lengthy recuperation when he gets home. As you can imagine, his funds are low with not being able to work. Both dogs need senior work ups including blood work and dentals. Maiden has a bad leg that will likely require an x-ray and, hopefully, pain meds depending on her blood work. We'd also like to get them enough preventatives to last the summer. They are the only thing keeping him going and we are here to help him keep them going. Please consider donating toward their care. All donations are tax deductible.
