Russ was not fancy or from a reputable breeder but lived 12 yrs being the best pet ever!
Russ passed away at home, it was a holiday wkend and he was on meds from the vet for pain.
He was mobile as best as he had been until the end. We knew we didn’t have time to get to an emergency vet an hour or so away. We could still get him to swallow so we increased them and pet him until he gave up.
I had texted a number I found locally- and I am glad I did, Dr Anderson- is with a mobile vet - I don’t know much about that but she texted me back before they opened and we took him there. They were awesome.
The picture and pawprint I did in a kit earlier. Hair clippings are from his not so good grooming we did earlier as well.

The old guys were the therapy dogs-
Big Russ not pictured, he didn’t feel it this day. He was the one that started me and my sons entertaining the kids at the community events and local nursing home for a bit. Loved and pet by all the kids! 💜
The offspring - well we dabbling in UKC conformation and AKC events as we can.
The Poodle Brigade as they are known by my obedience instructor Jane. She trains me to to train them- 😂 they may not act like it sometimes at home but they do have manners. They are well behaved when we go out.

The Evolution of Canoe Creek Spoos

My name is Deborah. I am a nurse, old school. Perioperative. I recently graduated, furthering that nursing degree. My love for this breed came to light when I met up with a friend at her place to pick up some feed barrels for our show cows. She had a huge Standard Poodle that ran with her horse, I was hooked. Had to have one! This breed can do anything! Herd, retrieve, love, and so super smart! There is so much to say about them! Check out the page and enjoy the pics and videos!

Here at the Creek, I love my big standard poodles! They are the best. I am a part time breeder and breed as a hobby, maybe 1-2 litters a year. I started with Big Russ and he does not know that he is not human! They interact well with all family members and as my children would argue over Rusty, well, we got another! Bailey is much loved and the Queen Diva. She “rules” from the chair. Then my baby boy felt the need for a dog of his own and Kentucky, here we come....to bring Maxximus Blue Adonis home. Maxx is super loving and very agile. Roxxy is my mom’s beloved dainty white girl, she is a cuddler for sure! Remi came from another part of Kentucky and is a beautiful white/silver parti, he steals your heart as well as kisses. Raynn, named by my sweet LG. She is a smart beautiful blue/ silver that loves me as I do her!

The pups are raised in the home, and loved by adults, grand children, nieces and nephews and all of us. There is champion bloodline, and Maxx is heir. Bailey has relations as well, but this definitely will be her last litter and she will be loved just as before! I have had one litter per year since 2015.
