This year has been a bit of a disappointment with many of our females not doing anything, and losing several to egg binding, including the female that laid the only two viable eggs in this clutch. She was Regia, our female from and she was paired to our best male that we produced, Aurican. Unfortunately after the first two eggs she got bound with a 4 inch long monstrosity of an egg that had just caused too much damage. We lost her a few days later.

Because of this, please don't ask to be on a list for these animals. They're likely not going anywhere unless we find a trade deal for more blood.

Clutch alert! 🚨 Our second batch of babies for the year is finally out and looking fabulous in their photoshoot! 📸 Don't forget, you can ogle all our past and present clutches on our website - I'm not hoarding them, I swear! 😉 I try to keep things somewhat organized, mainly so I can keep track of all these gorgeous genes.

Just look at this thicc lady!! This was her earlier today and probably before the eggs you can see in the last photo. Her guy is in the second photo, exhibiting the typical duties of the male in moving the tadpoles to a supposedly suitable location for them to grow into froglets (he failed those three tadpoles, unfortunately, but it was his first time). These Phyllobates terribilis Orange Blackfoot frogs are frogs I've been wanting for years and they've been a joy to watch and listen to.
