Gia is the sweetest, most deserving girl! Thanks to WXII 12 NEWS for helping to share a glimpse of her story. She'll be available for adoption starting on September 13th, and we can't wait for her to find her perfect match.

🎉 Nancy is this week's Saturday Superstar! Her adoption fee is also partially sponsored.🤩 This little lady is 2-years old, 43 lbs, and really just a fantastic dog.

Here's a little bit about Nancy:

• Plays well with other dogs
• Very food motivated
• Housebroken
• Loves chew toys (like bully sticks, etc.)
• Does great on the leash
• Loves adventures!

Nancy has been on several different Dog Day Out trips and has also done great in foster homes—including apartments! One of her dog day out trips said this about her, "Nancy loves life! By the end of our walk she was checking in with me regularly, walking beside me, and knew how to ask for water. And remembered where the piece of treat had fallen in my bag." She's such a smart dog!

We have NO idea how Jimmy hasn’t been adopted yet. He’s the sweetest boy—just look at him in this video!

Meet Arctic & Chowder! 🐾

⭐️ 🐶 Arctic is a 4-year-old, goofy cuddle bug! He's incredibly polite and enjoys car rides, neighborhood strolls, peanut butter kongs, and, most importantly, your attention! He will tell you that he needs to be petted by placing his paw on you and he loves to snuggle up in bed at night.

Arctic would thrive in a home with a fenced yard where he can run free. He needs room to stretch out his long doggy legs. Arctic is super dog-friendly, doesn't mind cats, and loves people. He's the best boy!

⭐️ 🐈‍⬛ Chowder is an extremely playful and curious one-year-old girl with the biggest, most beautiful eyes on the planet. She loves to hide and explore.

Wand toys are one of her favorite things, although shredding and chewing cardboard is a close second! Shes a fun cat with a great personality. Chowder loves people of all ages and starts to purr the minute someone starts to pet her.

She is friendly with cats but isn't the biggest fan of dogs. Chowder would be a great addition to any cat-loving family!

A HUGE thank you to Blaze: Heating, Cooling, Electrical & Plumbing, Winston-Salem Dash, and all of our amazing dog-loving baseball fans! 🐾⚾ This season’s Pups in the Park nights helped raise $3,500 for the cats and dogs here at Forsyth Humane Society. 🎉

We even saw one of our most special FHS Alumni, formerly known as Mortadella, at last night's game with her new family (pic 2)! 🥹🥳

Your support of Pups in the Park means the world to us. Thank you ALL for making this season so special and thanks to Blaze Air for making it possible—we can't wait to see you again next year! 🧡💜

UPDATE: Adopted!!! 🥳🥳🥳

Meet Wilbur! This guy is just as cute as he is friendly and he never misses a photo op. 📸 He's ready to find a forever home! Here's a little bit about him ⬇️

🐾 He's 4 years old and 45 lbs
🐾 He walks well on a leash!
🐾 He's good around kids and other dogs
🐾 He's treat motivated! He doesn't know a lot of tricks but will be easy to teach.
🐾 Wilbur LOVES attention and is sure to be the best cuddle bug.

Now for some of the more important stuff: Wilbur is Heartworm positive, but we are managing his condition. This means his activity is restricted (can't currently go on super long walks or run around like crazy), but he is on the road to recovery! He'll be back to full activity before you know it.

In his past life, Wilbur also liked to eat rocks. Because of this, his chompers aren't quite as pristine as they should be. He isn't currently showing any signs of pain or discomfort, but may need some teeth extracted later down the road to keep him happy and healthy.

Wilbur is a WONDERFUL dog and we truly can't wait for him to find his forever home! If you're interested in adopting Wilbur, come visit him at 4881 Country Club Rd. or consider taking him for a Dog Day Out trip! You won't regret it. Share this post so we can find Wilbur a forever home. ❤️🎉
