We thought Sunny would be the perfect introduction for today's overcast weather... so here he is! ☀️⬇️

Meet Sunny, the 8 year old doodle. He came to us in rough shape, but thanks to the magical, kind, helping hands of Black Dog Grooming Co., his world has been turned around!

Devin volunteered her time yesterday to help Sunny feel so much more comfortable, and we could not be more grateful! He is truly a new dog today. 🥹🩷 Click through the pictures to see more of his before and after.

Sunny is also available to adopt! He does well with other dogs, he's housebroken, crate trained, goofy, and full of personality. If you'd like to meet Sunny, come visit him at 4881 Country Club Rd. Help us find this senior guy his perfect home. 🏠🐾

Meet Pebbles! 🩶 She's a beautiful 2-year-old, 10 lb girly who is ready to find her forever home. She's been staying with an amazing foster recently and has a glowing report card. 🤩 Here are just a few things we know about Pebbles, thanks to her fosters! ⬇️

"Pebbles is such an easy-going cat. Her vibe is 100% chill, and she gets along really well with other cats. Pebbles was very brave and took to exploring our house right away, though she took a solid day before she would let my kids and I pet her to make sure we were safe. Now, she loves hanging out in the window to watch the squirrels, getting lots of pets and butt scratches, and eating wet food with extra gravy! She has an awesome meow and will be a friendly, loving addition to any family."

Pebbles has been in foster care with feline friends from her original home, and would likely benefit from having another cat around! 🐾

Meet Buttons! 😻 Buttons is a beautiful 8-year-old, 11lb. Tuxedo kitty cat! She is incredibly affectionate and loves to be close to her people.

Her purr motor starts and rarely stops! She's a big fan of chin and cheek (and really any kind) of scratches. She has calm, loving energy and is used to being with other cats. She would be a very easy addition to a house with cats. We imagine that she would do well with dogs, too, because of her demeanor. 🐾❤️

She absolutely loves kitty treats and is an all-around wonderful cat. If you want to add a special tuxedo girly to your crew, Buttons might be the perfect cat for you!

Our Mission

To enrich our community by promoting the compassionate treatment of cats and dogs in Forsyth County, North Carolina.

Our Goal

In support of our mission, the Forsyth Humane Society (FHS) is committed to achieving a save rate of 90 percent for shelter animals in our County. Forsyth Humane Society has set a goal of reducing the euthanasia rate in Forsyth County from 64 percent in 2017 to 10 percent by 2023.
