Thanks to the folks at Midwest Veterinary Service for the reminder! A tag change is headed our way next month!

Starting November 5th, new rules will change how cattle are officially identified. The current metal tags (orange or silver) will no longer be used for official identification. However, cattle with these tags can still use them.

Moving forward, RFID-EID tags (Electronic Identification Devices) will be required for new cattle. These tags have a 15-digit number and help with disease tracking but are not GPS devices. These EID tags can also assist producers with record-keeping when linked to digital tools, tracking information like weight and treatments.

PSA: For those who have asked and called about the "CAT VIRUS" going around. It is a deadly disease BUT there is a VACCINE that is HIGHLY effective against the virus!!! Here is some information about this virus:

Feline panleukopenia is a highly contagious, potentially fatal disease in cats. Fortunately, there are highly effective vaccines available to help protect against it.

Last week was Veterinary Technicians week… we made it tech/employee appreciation because everyone does a little bit of it all!! We have some of the best; appreciate all they do, they care for each pet (large or small), and work so hard! Thank you Sal, Ashley, Adrienne, Brianna, Carly, and Haley!

Found Found Found!!!!
I don’t know where she came from but went inside for 2 minutes and there she was!!!! Absolute prayers answered!!
Lost puppy in Dilworth area on Hwy 90A West … let her out last night to go potty and within 10 minutes she was gone… she is a brown and white pup with ears that stand up and no tail. Loves everyone!

Missing cat… lives in the Dilworth area right on Hwy 90… I know it’s a long shot but she has been missing for almost a week. Normally an outside cat. She comes to a variety of names . She has no tail. Please be in the look out or just say a prayer she comes home. Deeply missed.
