This I, too, wish.

" I Hope "

When I'm old and grey and nearing the grave, I hope my children will bring me a horse, to console my longing soul.

One with soft, brown eyes so it will warm my senses to the core & let me remember what I use to live for.

I hope they love me enough to know that I'll need the smell of a horse on my final day, to help ease the fear away.

For my mind will be weary & ready to fade, but one touch on that muzzle & all the memories will flood back.

I hope it has a familiar face, one that I loved & knew by name, one that will know my voice as I softly speak.

A sweet nicker will comfort me in a way that only angels could do, but I always knew that you couldn't see their wings.

I hope that when I'm too weak to make it outside, they will bring it to my bedside so I can hear the hoof beats coming.

When the hours are dwindling & the light looks inviting, I want my family & a good horse beside me.

I hope that when I drift off it feels as though it's a smooth lope, for that will bring peace to me.

I'll need that horse to heal my broken heart as they have always done in the past & let me smile one last time.

I hope my children will bring me a horse, so my soul can ride it through the pearly gates & let this old cowgirl feel at home in a new place.

I honestly believe that God loves us…after all, he gave us horses. We don’t deserve them, yet we are blessed by them day in and day out. Let us never forget how special they truly are.

Good morning, hope everyone reading this is having a good day. It’s cold here in Kentucky , wind is blowing like crazy- BUT, hang on, by the middle of the week it will be in the 70’s.
No puppies at Twin Ridge , nobody bred right now, we’re taking a rest and hoping the puppy market levels out. Backyard breeders keep on breeding and selling their pups cheap.
Reputable breeders who do all of their homework, (genetic testing , shots, worming, Vet checks, eyes etc), are expected to sell cheap as well. The market is over populated and cheaper may be better on the buyers pocketbook, but you get what you pay for.
Folks who want an Aussie, please do YOUR HOMEWORK . Look for a reputable breeder in your area, ask for pictures of parents , ask about contracts and genetic testing . Choose your wonderful Australian Shepherd puppy from a reputable breeder and get a beautifu, well socialized, healthy companion for life.
