8/17 1:45PM UPDATE: After many inquiries, WE CONDUCTED A HOME VISIT LAST NIGHT AND PLACED NACHO IN A FOSTER HOME! Thank you to all who shared! Our next steps are to evaluate Nacho and assess what path to take from here.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Nacho’s owner has surrendered him without giving CWAC proper notice.

He is currently at a nearby shelter on a "stray hold" until tomorrow evening. Starting Saturday, 8/17 he will be put up for public adoption.

Nacho is a psychiatric service dog, HOWEVER, is not up to date on his certification so he is sort of speak, "out of service" at the moment. To be considered a service dog through Canines With a Cause he must be assessed on his skills and training, and recertified through us.

Happy 4th of July! This time of year can get a little scary for our pups due to fireworks. Help keep yours safe and calm with a few tips:
- Keeping proper ID on your canine
- Use of essential oils (make sure they're animal-friendly)
- Play white noise (TV, fan, classical music, etc)

Let stay safe and have a fun day!

Holidays with fireworks cause lots of loud noises, which can cause dog anxiety. Learn how to keep your dog calm during fireworks.

Meet Archer! A fun, loving Husky mix who is looking for his forever home! This playful pup is treat-motivated and knows commands such as sit, down, stay and wait. He doesn't jump on the couch or bed. He is an active dog who walks well on a loose leash and shows promising signs of riding well in a car.

Although Archer is active he also can be mellow and calm in a home. It's important to note that although we believe he does well with other dogs we would require an introduction with any dogs he might live with.

Today we paws to honor Romeo whose story was told in Magical Dogs 3. Through Canines With a Cause (CWAC), Romeo went to a veteran with PTSD. Theirs is a beautiful story of how a human and dog rescue and save one another.

Romeo has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Godspeed, sweet boy. ❤️🐾🌈

My heart is so sad. Please keep Romeo’s dad, Cameron, close in your thoughts and prayers ❤️🐾🙏🏼
