Our Story
Somebunny Luvs Me started as a foster for another rescue. At the time I had lots of extra time to put my artistic and crafting abilities to work to benefit the rabbits so...Somebunny Luvs Me was created for that. Unfortunately a split was made between us and the other rescue and we were left with almost 30 rabbits here that still needed to find new homes. So, we had a name and we had the bunnies, starting our own rescue seemed to be the next step. Though our resources were limited we created a corporation and registered with the state as a Non-Profit rescue organization located in Jurupa Valley CA and a registered 501(c)3 To this day, resources are limited, not as much time to use my artistic and crafting talents to help with funding, any funds we do bring in go directly to the rabbit by way of medical bills first, hay, pellets, litter boxes and other supplies. We are seriously a ‘family’ run organization in that myself and husband are the only ones that care for the rabbits, no volunteers and no fosters...though both are always welcome but hard to find. Funds are always tight as they are 99.9% out of pocket, but the rabbits will never be allowed to go without, they will always come first. We do have an online Bunny boutique that can be found on our fb page.
SomeBunny Luvs Me is a non-profit 501(c)3, state registered 'No Kill' family based organization dedicated to the health, welfare, rescue and re-homing of domestic rabbits. All rabbits are vetted, spayed/neutered. Foster/Adoption applications, home checks and adoptions fees are require to assure that only committed, responsible, safe, long term homes are found.
Mission Statement: To rescue the abused, neglected and those in danger of dying in the shelters. To rehabilitate the sick, injured and un-socialized with the purpose of finding them new loving forever homes. To educate new and existing owners on proper rabbit care and ownership to create a better understanding and bond with their rabbit.
